I messed up at work because I was so upset and then I heard people talking about me and my weight. Yes I know I need to lose weight (quite alot infact) but it hurts when it's something you've heard and wasn't supposed to.

Awww Dora :( so sorry about that. How very sad and empty some folks lives are to me busy mentally noticing lumps and bumps on other women. Perhaps they are envious of the happiness that you DH and Daniel have, and think this will make themselves happier. Anyhow, I have seen your wedding picture, remember, so I can report that you are in fact very beautiful!:D
I hate going to the docs for anything as their stock answer is lose weight!

MDW, my good friend who I met on here on the Old-style boards has this too, I think it's disgraceful! Everything from sinusitis to work-related stress seems to be fair game to be linked to body weight. She is ever so good at the stern repost to her GP though... I think she said, 'look it's not my flaming sinuses that are fat, it's my belly!' :rotfl:

MFD thinking of you and hubby and benjamin today. Wish I could do something. *mend quickly vibes MFSIL*

thanks once again for all the supportive comments yesterday about my bf experience. Kristal :Ahad chatted with me via pm and I'd come a long way with my feelings but I realised yesterday that there was a bit more to be squeezed out before Kester comes.

    love to you all

    Weezl x

Morning wizzy, never the best way to start the day! Will your day give you a chance to relax and recover a bit then?

I doubt it very much, they really want me up to speed on the
new system so once I know that they can give me some backlogged work to get through! I wouldn't mind but the boss is "off sick" I have my opinions on this which I'll keep to myself as you never know who's watching!

ETA: Weezl your so kind, I know they're jealous and I try to remember that, but I've been bullied about my weight for alot of my life and it still does hurt even when you're grown up.
I do think I looked OK at my wedding but that was after 3hrs of hair and make up! Plus I've put more weight on since then :(

Bruno - I like your new avvy!

Thanks :) I always have avatars off because at work it makes a passing glance at my screen from a visitor even more damning ;p but there was some chat about them a few days ago which prompted me to find an update!

Not too bad actually. It's not unknown now to get a solid 8.30-6.45 or so out of him! Thanks for asking :) In general things have slowly improved for night time sleeps. He is still very unpredictable about daytime naps but you can't have everything!

Last night OH was carrying him towards bed, all passive and draped in her arms... they passed me and I went through his line of vision and he perked right up and shouted

    "HIIIII! DADDEN!!"

which took OH by surprise... then they went on down the hall, as they went into the bedroom he shouted

    "BUTT!"

which seems to have preceded a chain of farts... after which he went straight to sleep *confused smiley*

    He is very entertaining :)

So what about you Weezl, any sleep? Are your bodily feelings changing? Not at the desperate-to-get-it-over-with stage quite yet? :)

yay for better sleeping at the Bruno house:T:T:T:T:T

I never got to that stage with Fergus.... not sure if I'll say/feel that this time. Feel free to poke fun at me if I do!

Cant help but feel that wanting labour to come in order to end pregnancy discomfort is a bit like deciding to chop your leg off at the knee with a blunt butter knife in order to relieve the pain of an ingrowing toenail.

But I think this is more to do with the healthy straightforward PG I had, I know susan would feel very differently and would rather do the 'blunt butter knife' thing 3 times over than do PG!

PS Bruno I am reading a really insightful book called 'what mothers do' by Naomi Stadlen.

I think your OH might really like it. There's a fascinating part looking at how women who are creative (and it focussed on writers) often have pangs for patches of solitude and baby freeness to be able to fully be themselves (through their writing). And the book is very legitimising of these feelings.

It also talks about how you need your own mum more-even if you can't have her.

Anyhow, I thought of your DW.:)
