Thats good its nice to have your own 'space'. Dont tell anyone but Lexi has been on her front since being about 10 weeks old Bad mummy I know but it was seriously the only way she would sleep and after much torturing debate we decided it was for the best

:eek: for dora falling and poor you JM, must have been terrible when he banged his head I know these things happen but it is still horrible when you 'started it' IYSWIM. Did he get a treat for getting a lump?

I think you probably just jinxed the sleeping. I keep my mouth shut these days...except when he doesn't sleep of course (hoping that he will hear and do the opposite )

Which reminds me! I caught PW ironing DSSs underpants on Sat!! I started to ask hubby if she used to do his but decided that pointing out that I am a lazy cow compared to the practice wife probably wasn't a good idea :rotfl:




Aless - it could be his teeth, or it could just be one of those things. Try and make things as calm as possible for his next feed (low lighting etc) and don't force him on IYSWIM. Do you feed laying down? I often found that it was the best if baby was restless.

tara i wish jayden could have his own space but if he did it would mean me and philip sleeping in the living room ... glad shes settling though give you some peace and space x

Am hoping this is the key to Jack sleeping through again - cot going in his room on the weekend. He already sleeps on his front and that has been the key to getting him to settle on his own!

Aless - FF babies go through stages of refusing the bottle and you can't get anything down them so I would imagine it's a similar thing. Jack started doing it around 8weeks, then again at 16weeks. You do worry that they aren't getting enough but like you say if he's hungry he'll take it!

I used the RR Sauce which you cook and then add the chicken and it was still MEGA HOT!!!!! Wasn't just be, OH & BIL said it was spicy too!

Right gonna feed J then make our way to the pool for 11.30am.

Daft how you feel so bad, OH was in a state when I started doing it, but she sleeps nearly 13hrs like it. Sooo lucky. And to the ladies dealing with colic, Maddys seemed to go at 10wks ish!

Aless i find with the Infacol you have to give it religiously at every feed whether you think they need it then or not, cos it isn't instant. If i miss a few feeds during the day then later that night is usually pretty eye-stab-invoking, even if i've used it at night.

I've heard great things about Colief, but it's about £11 a pop, and needs putting in the milk, and i cba with expressing yet, got no bottles

Thanks Sparkle regarding checking out Lloyds for price of Formula! if not i'll phone them.

So far my little man doesnt refuse a feed! although he is stuffy nosed so isnt taking all of his feeds, he was on 6oz's! I had been using calpol nasal spray on him, but i think it was giving him belly ache! as he had some lovely hard green poops, but as now over a month old, I've gone from colic drops to gripe water!

ceejay, i couldn't get on with the gripe water, she spat it out even when i tried syringing it right down her throat :rotfl:

But the guidance used to be that babies should sleep on their front so if they were sick they wouldn't choke on it.

Not sure what the on the back stuff is about TBH?


We let Benjamin sleep on his side pretty much from the off (with a little rolled up towel to stop him rolling over to start with), then as soon as he started rolling he decided for himself that he would sleep on his front anyway. Now he sleeps squished up with his head rammed against the top corner of the cot, no matter how many times I move him back down!!



Krystal says she will return one day...but probably not today - I think the cheeky mare is off having a RL :mad:

Actually, she is meeting Keeley for a cuppa this afternoon!!



Ladies - don't forget that you can give infacol after (or during) a feed too if you forget. And there is always gripe water.


Beenie - colief is a PITA for a bf baby! you have to express, mix and cup feed a little bit before each feed.
You can double-dose infacol too (according to my HV) not medical advice.
