How about, in the interests of being inclusive (which is where the debate started) you just go for a premmie feeding group and welcome in BF, FF and EBM feeders in?
I understand that the pressures are very different expressing (and I too kind of brushed over it in a not understanding kind of way yesterday, sorry) but you did say that you have problems in common to both. And presumably all of the mums of premmies will have similar kinds of meds and volumes/weight gain issues?

I wouldn't pretend for a moment that you aren't carrying a couple of extra pounds, I am too, but if they can't see the lovely person and wonderful mum that you are then I pity them.
LOL - at least you weren't meant to hear! When I was away at a conference in November a bloke congratulated me on being pregnant again, the cheeky twit  Even when I suggested to him that he ought to shut his mouth before he seriously upset me he continued and then started with 'what have I done' when I walked away and asked people to not let him near me.
Yes, I have a jelly belly, yes, I probably do look pregnant, but what an idiot to just assume and then comment
Off to catch up properly.
A quick run down of life in MFD towers:
Hubby and I met at the Beefeater on the way home from work and enjoyed a lovely quiet meal where we could chat and have a laugh without the kids interrupting/stealing our attentionThen got home and MIL was sat with a very tired Benjamin saying 'he is ready for bed' but hadn't put him in the sleepsuit I had laid out for him *rolleyes*
Cue one sleepy baby falling asleep with daddy after his bottle (nice touch!). Popped him down and went to pick out some clothes for hubby to take to hospital....my MIL had stolen my ironing again
I was well pee'd off that she is interfering again and upset that she seems to think that I can't cope (she was stroking my hair telling me I looked tired!!) not that I am a [STRIKE]lazy cow[/STRIKE] busy woman who doesn't feel the need to do every scrap of ironing the minute that it is washed and I am happy to iron as I go.
Anyway, I had a cry (long day, tired, hubby going into hospital, interfering MIL) and hubby threw his coat on and stomped off into the night to collect the washing from his mother and to tell her not to 'help' without asking in future. My hero :A I know it pains him to stand up to his mom (who is really lovely and thinks she is helping) but I was so thrilled that he did.
So I missed out on an hour of time with my hubby, but he got what he wanted out of the night
Dropped him off this morning, complete with tears, and he should be operated on before lunchtime.
Benjamin at the CM, I'm working from home and have just had a sneaky Maccie D's breakfast
Ooo - that was longer than I expected

aww what time is DH scheduled his op?? hope it all goes well.
and  at MIL for 'stealing your clothes to iron'. its one thing to ask 'do you want me to iron' but to just take the clothes. why didnt she just iron them at yours?? or would that be a bit too much as well for you?? (pity you dont live closer i'd be happy for her to take my clothes to iron)'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Thanks Jillie
Krispy Kreme then? lol I'll make sure that whenever it is, is one of my working days.
MFD - I forgot that the OP was today. Did you come to a decision re visiting or has that decision been made for you by the hospital?0 -

We don't have a time, just this morning. Although I texted him before (they are allowed to use phones as long as it is not intrusive) and he hasn't replied.
She has ironed at my house before, and she has stolen clothes before and I have tried to tell her to leave them. I usually hide some before she comes round on a Wednesday!! I know she is trying to help but it feels like she is making a judgement on the way I look after my family.newmoneysaver wrote: »Thanks JillieKrispy Kreme then? lol I'll make sure that whenever it is, is one of my working days.

There has been a no visiting policy in place since mid-Jan because of cases of norovirus. It was due to be reviewed yesterday but the website hasn't been updated yet.
The no visitors policy has meant only one birthing partner at a birth and no visitors to the maternity wardsand only 1 parent is allowed to visit on the childrens wards. Can you imagine

Hugs for Mr MFD, MFD and of course the lovely Benjamin. Have they decided if visiting in on or off yet? Will they let you know when he's done?My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »LOL - at least you weren't meant to hear! You just reminded me, when J was a couple of weeks old I bumped into someone I knew who said 'Bl))dy hell, haven't you had that baby yet'. Cue my mum walking out of the shop behind me with J in the pram. Shel was incredibly embarrased and apologetic though. :rotfl:
not that I am a [STRIKE]lazy cow[/STRIKE] busy woman who doesn't feel the need to do every scrap of ironing the minute that it is washed and I am happy to iron as I go.
