The reason he looks skinny, 91st for height!

Wow! (and a huge thank you!) He used to be 75th for height and just under 50th for weight. anytime he dropped below 25th they tried sending him to a dietrition. But he hasn't been eating recently, it's the constant cold in winter he just drops weight and doesn't make up for it.

Hi elle, you been lurking?? :)

Drifting in and out whilst looking for a hotel for Easter weekend.

OH family (I can hardly contain my joy and excitement ) are going caravanning in Shropshire where they always used to go when OH and SIL were little. OH wants to go too and I've told him I'll only go if we can find a nice hotel to stay in :p Going on Friday night, OH and Rhys (maybe!) can go out hill walking all day Saturday while I relax in a hotel room (looking for one with wifi :p) then join them all for a meal later, stay there Saturday night, then go to Ironbridge on Sunday (my choice, cos I was just looking at a friend's FB pics of it and I haven't been for years), and we've still got Easter Monday together :)

Thanks for reminding me Em (hello everyone! have been here on and off all day but had grumpy a$$ son and nothing to add!!)

How do peoples work deal with someone being off because their kids are ill? At the moment we are supposed to take it as holiday (which I think is a cheek TBH!) but hopefully soon we will be setting up on our own and I would be interested in the different ways of dealing with absence because of child illness.

I am not bothered about appointments and christmas plays and the like, my assistant can have those whenever she wants them (but would be interesting to see how others deal with them) but sickness is a bit different and I do feel that it should be included on your emplyment record in some way...

I won't get paid if I don't go in, no holiday, sickness or anything other than going to work pay for me but I want to be fair on any staff I will be employing.

Congrats to SM SIL and welcome to baby Aiden.
Oh and YAY for walking Erin :)

Unpaid emergency dependents leave, MFD :)
  • MFD - I'd probably want it marked down as Emergency Parental Leave like Elles linkie above.

I think where I work it would just go down as unpaid leave.
