I did buy some fromage frais from LIDL and Benjamin seemed to enjoy them...but they are very vivid colours and Emlou mentioned something one day about FF with tons of additives so I stopped buying them (without actually checking - just a guilty conscience!!)
Maybe someone more rational can helpAm no worried at how much he's eating at all, just curious..He's just polished off seven cubes of mush. Since we started weaning properly, he's never done an "I'm full" face.. the kid just keeps on troughing
Don't think he's at risk of obesity just yet though
Benjamin used to do that! I used to stop before he does. Now, if his high chair is pulled up to the table he will put whatever he doesn't want onto the table (instead of his highchair tray) or will throw it over his shoulder :rotfl:Obviously I agree, its not that I've just been too lazy to put them on  :rotfl:
My thoughts were just that he's got the rest of his life to blister and callous his feet up from wearing shoes, so I would rather they be free to grow as they need to, given that he will never grow as fast as he just has in his life ever again. Plus I begrudge paying for something he will rip off and chuck on the floor in seconds
Can you imagine taking your baby boy into clarks and asking them to measure his feet? Mine would honestly not sit still for that long, it would be a screaming battle of willsthe longer I can leave it the better!!

chopsticks wrote: »I wonder if I should be worried about Caitlin's eating. Probably not as, illness aside, she seems happy and healthy. She just doesn't eat very much. It's a real struggle to get food and enough milk into her each day.
Leila really doesnt eat that much and only just manages the recommended 600mls of milk per day. She will only take 120ml in one go and sometimes even refuses that much. With food, I think i'm a bit over ambitious with her eating. I gave her scrambled eggs tonight with melted cheese on top. It seemed pointless to use one egg so I made it with 2. She almost managed 1/2 of it (so I should have just used one egg!!). I do feel that I am force feeding her sometimes but I dont know if she is genuinely full or just distracted or busy digesting the last mouthful. She will whinge though if she's really had enough.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
J has been faffing with his mlk for about 3 weeks but thankfully the last 2 days he has been a lot better. Today he has only left one bottle (4ozs left) when before it could have been more like 3! Even his bedtime bottle he drank 6ozs which he hasn't done for months. He;s now drinking more milk and having the extra food!
I think I just need to be patient. I have never really been a big eater, so maybe she just takes after me (although, during pregnancy, my appetite increased and hasn't really decreased since)
He happily eats it plain, or we mix it with Petit Filous, or we mix it in to Ready Brek, or we add blueberries, or raisins... etc. Em named the Yoplait ones which may be a more MSE option? (though I have a half-memory that I read somewhere that the Petit Filous were the brand most appropriate for infant diets or something? ...probably from an ad...).
Thank you. I'll look at the Yoplait ones too. I did look at the Tesco value ones which were only 45p for six but they have added sugar.
I'm off to bed now guys. Forgot to tell you this morning, but when I went to bed last night, I switched the landing light on, went into check on Caitlin and she was wide awake and gave me the biggest grin. When I walked out, she burst into tears and I was up and down with her for the next two hours. I'm going to be now in case we have a repeat performance tonight. She woke up a couple of hours ago crying and DH had to go up and shush her back to sleep. She's been very unsettled since being poorly0 -

MFD, don't be scared of my OH
it's the danger of these forums, I tend to post when I have a rant, not the rest of the time, she is really perfectly harmless and very lovely the vast majority of the time
And thanksI think he's cute! He does the vegetable-naming thing frequently at the moment... toddler-tantrums if one does not participate fully!

Mealtimes can take ages here because sometimes Benjamin just needs a rest. I don't mind though because we have lots of fun and porridge/whatever smeared kisseschopsticks wrote: »I'm off to bed now guys.
