Elle, I thought that with weetabix, that it looked like a crap amount compared to the porridge he has, and when I asked if anyone gave them two nobody did but MFD had tried and B didnt eat it all
I tried Seth with two and he ate best part of it, but looked very bloated for a while and didnt eat lunch that day
What I did find, was that if I made it runny and nuked it for 30 seconds, it swelled up a bit bigger to a more satisfactory portion!Mummy to

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=29382807&postcount=8417
'Tis a lovely one and I even considered getting it for a second, before I realised I already have a moses basket and a baby who is too big to fit in it :rotfl:.
Em- do you ever go to Gunwharf? In GAP they have gorgeous toddler size hoodies for a fiver. I got Henry two today!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

You never know
We went out for a walk earlier and were discussing moving house and baby number 2. We always knew this wouldn't be our forever house but the problem is that the type of house we want for our forever house rarely comes on the market round here.
If we go for number 2 before we move house, then it's likely we won't be able to move for years and years, because I'll probably give up work completely. However, we don't want to put plans for number 2 on hold in case we can't find our dream house for years and year. Just not sure what to do at the moment. We've said we'll get our house valued soon and then take it from there. If our house isn't worth as much as we hope it is, or we're in negative equity (unlikely, but could be possible as the last house sold in our street was 4 years ago so we haven't really got an idea of current prices), then our answer will be to stay put and try for number 2.I'm struggle with portion control, I just don't know how much he should be having! It says that he will let you know when he's full but so far he has just sat there with his mouth open waiting for the next spoonful!
According to the HiPP plan, I think it says 10-15 teaspoons per meal for babies up to 6 months. It's in the kitchen, so can double-check when I get up if you haven't got a copy.0 -
Well done you now-non-smokers
I gave up the day before I got the BFP, cos I suspected the BFP was coming and I couldnt smoke knowing I might have been PG. I didnt get any cravings at all while I was PG, but I do now sometimes! I had tried to give up before without success, and I think the only reason I managed it was cos it made me feel horrendously sick, which was the first pointer to me that I might be PG! Suspecting I was PG for a week beforehand didnt stop me slowly polishing off the remainder of the wine box I'd got for a party though...Mummy to

My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »In reply to both of the above - when they are full they will stop eating. Like us sometimes it will be a little meal, sometimes they will be starving, and there will be no logical reason for either. Try not to worry and keep giving them more as long as they are eating it. I will happily give main meal, side order (bread or veg), pudding, fruit or 2 and a biscuit if Benjamin wants it but sometimes he will only eat half his main meal and some fruit!! If he is hungry he will let me know.
Benjamin usually eats 1 weetabix BTW. But always followed by some fruit and 2 fromage frais
For tea J had a 7oz bottle followed by 2 cubes of sweet potato and a cube of carrot. I was just giving him 2 cubes so have upped it to 3 now as he gobbled it all up!
I've started to follow a routine similar to yours from today but whether J will follow it tomorrow is another story :cool:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I bought C some Petits Filous today. They were half price in Tesco but I was quite  at seeing the full price of nearly £1.60 for 6. Am I being really tight, or is there a cheaper option? What I did find, was that if I made it runny and nuked it for 30 seconds, it swelled up a bit bigger to a more satisfactory portion!searching_me wrote: »when can babbas have weetabixs? x0 -
Choppy it won't hurt to get a valuation done and see how much you can borrow too. We always assumed we wouldn't be able to buy, but our friends gave us the number for the independent mortgage advisor people they used, and we decided to find out on the off chance, and discovered they were (at that point) prepared to lend us £180k!!!. Not that we could have afforded the payments on that much, but it meant we could start looking at the level we could afford and here we are

:T:T Go Harley!
How's Kezia doing now?
Thanks all. And thanks for asking Glam, she seems to have got over the scary low temp thing, bit snuffly now so I guess she was working up to that, but temp is now hovering around 37 again so I'm happier. Unfortunately I think we have some teeth moving around so she is not particularly happy at the moment. Just given her some calpol as that seemed to work quite well last night. I think by the evening the pain just gets too much and she shouts for ages. Not quite crying but certainly making her displeasure felt.
Hope J still doing ok. Been reading about your weaning with interest, I will be starting in the next few weeks I think. Kezia is still sleeping really well at night so I don't think she needs more than BF just yet but it can't be far away.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »LOL - the bigger they get the harder it is to believe that they were ever little and helpless. Well done Harley. I have been smoke free for nearly 2 years now and I am honestly at a point where I don't think I will ever go back. It is a terribly hard thing to do (although prob easier when pregnant) and an even harder thing to keep up (although prob harder for those who gave up because they were pregnant).
Congratulations sweetie :T may we stay smoke free from now on xxx
And well done to you. I think you have done brilliantly for 2 years. I will confess to the odd sniff sometimes when I'm following a smoker down the street but most of the time it stinks and I hate it. I don't think i would ever have managed it if it wasn't for Kezia. I wanted her far more than I ever wanted a cigarette. I also used to use it as a sort of pain relief (probably all in my head) for the endo which obviously I've not felt for the last year. Desperately hoping it wont be too bad when my periods return.
Anyway, well done to all of us ex smokers, we are great.

put Alice's presents in box (I buy stuff all the time and put them in a box ready for when it's birthday or Christmas and the box is a bit inaccessible at the moment)
Create general present box (birthday presents for other people so we don't lose them again)
Sort out Christmas box (because I packed it and then found some more Xmas decs I hadn't taken down but it's like one of those puzzles where the things only fit in one way so it's a long job)
