I don't blame B, I'd be pis*ed off getting wet tooMy_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Evening all,
Busy day at MFD towers. I picked DSS up at 10am this morning (hubby had an important meeting) and took him to our Saturday morning Little Stars Playgroup with us
He was a darling, running around after Benjamin and my friends little girls so we mummies could have a coffee and a good gossip!!
Back home for lunch and then we were off into Birmingham to visit the Sealife Centre, which was fun but expensive!! They have a 4D film where the seats vibrate and wind blows and water splashes at you and Benjamin HATED it!! It was only 8 minutes long but we had to leave before the end because he was screaming his head off!! He did get a faceful of water though!!
Then home and pizza for dinner before helping DSS with his homework....he has to do a project on the victorian person of his choice and he has chosen Charles Darwin!! They are now trying to find easy to understand info about Darwin on the web
How is everyone? xx
you mean DSS didn't chose his victorian step mum :eek:;)0 -

Sami our local mothercare has Clarks. I am impatient to get shoes for Izzy - she isn't quite walking on her own yet, but it won't be long before we want to start going to the zoo and things, and I can't keep her in the buggy all day even if she can't walk on her own. I think some wellies will be the order of the day soon if nothing else. I know they aren't very supportive, and so won't work as the only shoes she has, but as a short term thing where she will only be wearing them for a few hours a week I'm sure they won't do her any harm!

Our Mothercare does Clarks so I presume they all do?Anyhoo anyone know what shoes mothercare sell, is it startrite or does it vary shop to shop?Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Oh, talking of shoes, I wonder if they make them small enough for Rhys.. hmm, I guess somewhere does! *confused*
Genuine confused question.. When Rhys is standing on the floor, holding himself up but we're holding him under the arms or round the waist for balance, he steps forward (up to about ten steps as that's as far away as I can comfortably hold him from me!). He won't do it if we hold his arms though, likes to stretch them out while he lifts his feet. Is that still an newborn reflex hanging about or a new skill he's come up with? *confused*0 -

I could do with a day like that...desperately
My Sat night will inevitably involve some kind of housework when I get too upset about it!!I don't blame B, I'd be pis*ed off getting wet too

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It was a bit strange today introducing DSS as my 'Step Son' to my mummy friends. Because DH and I got married quickly and DSS was quite young at the time, we (hubby, PW and I) decided not to have the big 'step-mother' conversation with him and just let him work it out in his own sweet time. We know he does know now - his mum caught him in an argument with his mate about who had the best family using his 'step-mum' as a trump card (his mate was pee'd off that he didn't have a step-mum to come back with LOL) but we still don't really talk about it IYSWIM. As far as DSS is concerned Benjamin is just his brother, not his half brother, why make things more complicated than they already are!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
