Thanks for the response Glam :) Our "routine" at the moment is:

    7/8am - milk (EBM)
    11/12 - milk
3/4pm - milk, followed by puree & rice
    7pm - milk then bed
somewhere between midnight and 4am - milk

I was planning on introducing breakfast next, after the early milk.

His play & sleep times are pretty random in the gaps.

Only really posting this to compare notes!

Hi there! After some thoughts and advice. My little one is now 12 weeks old and we aren;t in any kind of routine yet apart from feeding every 4hrs (bottle) and I know that he has a 45min nap after being awake for about 90mins - this pattern tends to repeat through the day until 8pm when he goes to sleep for the night. I've been reading various books - Gina Ford and Baby Whisperer and these seem to suggest it isn't 'normal' to have this kind of sleeping pattern!!! Can anyone shed any light on wether they are talking cobblers or am I missing something with my little man??? Just wondering.
    Thanks
    Lisa

that sounds like a routine to me

TBH, there is no 'normal' with babies. I never followed a strict one and Kian has got himself into one.

As long as you are happy and LO is happy I see no point in changing anything.

Books are all well and good but I have yet to find one that met all my needs so havent bothered with them and more or less done my own thing.

    Hi ladies,

Hope everyone has had a nice Saturday so far. We ventured out today for the first time since going to the Drs on Wednesday! We only went to Tesco for a few bits but walked the mile there and back, so got a bit of exercise too.

I'm off to catch up but whilst I am, the fairies have got the following vouchers available:
    • 30p off HiPP stage 1 dried range (no expiry date). Two of these available.
    • 30p off HiPP stage 1 dried cereal (expires 31.12.10). Two of these available
    • 60p off when you buy any 4 C&G jars (expires 31.07.10)
    • 50p off when you buy any four C&G Baby Balance jars stage 1 (expires 30.04.10). This is a Tesco-specific voucher
    • £1 off when you buy any two G&G Baby Balance cereals 4 months+ (expires 30.04.10). This is a Tesco-specific voucher
    • £1 off when you buy any 2 C&G breakfast cereals 4 months+ (expires 31.07.10)
PM me if you'd like any of them.

Thanks, he went to sleep about 11.15 and then woke at 3 for a bottle, then back asleep till 8.15ish this morning, had about 3 ozs and has now gone back to sleep again....

Didnt do that much yesterday - only food shopping, pet shop, 2 loads of washing dried/ironed/put away, collected OH's suit from DC, hoovered and mopped floors...... errr think that was it:cool:

That is loads. All I did yesterday was change 7 pooey nappies (three of which involved a change of clothes and a rinse out in the bath), clean the steriliser, the CTF, February's menu plan and a load of washing.

Yes, this is kind of what we're thinking - however so far at least, he seems unwilling to do the lying down at all when he has a dirty nappy. It may be the first signs of him really being aware of his evacuation activities I guess! Silly baby.

I quoted this as I was going to mention the sticker thing that some of the others do, but then I read further down the page and Weezl has already said it :D |

Bruno, becles and SB have in the past suggested stickers on the back of hand and a favourite toy only for nappy time, as possible distractors? Sure you've thought of that already....

elle, thats great news for you and rhys. im sure you are over the moon! :)

Kinda over the moon.. Of course I am because he's getting better and because he won't have to have the jab every week now, plus means no more weekly visit from the nurses, but it means I'm going to have to go down to the weighing clinic myself.. in a MORNING! ;):o

LOL I'm with you MM! Anyway, never mind 300m, down the stairs nearly did away with you! :p (jk!) Our children's centre is about a mile away and there's no way I'm walking it!

Rhys is having a right stroppy weekend so far  It started the second OH walked through the door after work yesterday and he's (R) been stroppy with him (OH) ever since :( He's fine with me but I need to get on and do stuff (sorting clothes and putting them away again, mostly!).

Did I mention he's stopped staring at his hand too? That dragged on for months!
