It should be covered under our travel insurance, but I'll check because we have the long haul flight - but have to get to London with Easyjet _pale_ and four flights is going to be harder on the thing than two.
Maybe MFD's plan to have a padded bag made is a good one
There are a couple of "bags made for XPlory"s on ebay that I might also take a look at and see if they're more padded.

sounds stupid this, but i feel really nervous about going to work today

have a feeling it will not be as easy as i would like to get the days/hours i want to work.
