    sami, enjoy eddie :)

Yes please to funny snotty letters.

Searchie: how straight from the goat are we talking here?! Like laying down underneath her having a tweak and squeeze? :rotfl:

weezl's snotty letter to the council, all feedback welcomed!

    "Dear Noise pollution team,

I am writing on behalf of the residents of xxxxtown, xxxxxtown and xxxxside living within an approximately 1 KM radius of the BMW garage on xxxxx Road (xxxxx).

You may be aware that this company uses an alarm to scare away seagulls and to prevent them damaging the cars which stand outside their showroom.

In the 8 years we have lived in xxxxtown, my family have become increasingly aware of and troubled by the noise of this alarm. This is in part due to its being sounded more frequently, having changed to become louder and more high pitched, and also being used more frequently during anti-social hours.

This issue is made more acute for my family at the moment since we have a 10 month old baby and are due to have another baby in 7 weeks. The night time noise disturbance is consequently very difficult and stressful to us as a family, as I’m sure you can appreciate.

I am happy to document this further if you would find it helpful, but just to give one specific example, on the evening of January 11th 2010 the alarm sounded at least every 20 minutes from 1.12 am through til 6.45 am.

My house is double glazed throughout, as are my neighbours and we are troubled that despite these noise reduction methods we are still regularly disturbed in the night by this alarm.

I can confirm having spoken to my neighbours that at least the following streets are aware of and frustrated by the levels of noise from this alarm:

    xxxx Embankment
    xxxxx Mead Embankment
    xxxx Gardens
    xxxxx Gardens
    xxxxx Embankment
    xxxxx street
    xxxxx street
    xxxxx street
    xxxxx street
    xxxxx place

The residents would like to request that the council ask the owners of the BMW garage to seek another solution to the issue of seagulls spoiling the paint finish on the cars. I believe that this can be achieved using a sonic wave undetectable to humans and pets or through an awning over the cars which are outside.

In the meantime, we would like to ask the council to specifically request that the alarm be limited to usage before 11pm and after 7 am, until other methods are found to replace the existing alarm.

I am sure that acting to offset the reputational cost to this local business of having so many disturbed neighbours would be seen to be in their best business interests.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter and to investigate this issue, and to seek resolution.

    Yours Faithfully,

(Weezl's real name) on behalf of residents of xxxxtown, xxxxxtown and xxxxxside, Cardiff"

Aw join me! We can be on the pg thread together! Aiming for giving birth around Sept/Oct 2011!! :j

i wanna summer baby. may/june ideally. really dont want a sept-dec baby. sept is chocka with K's birthday, our wedding anniiversary and my birthday all within 9 days!!
then DH b-day is in oct!!

which means if we want baby next year we need to start when i go back to work.... which would mean i'd only be back for about 1 year at most.

not usre though.... those who have had babies close together, was it easy with things like toilet training etc when you had toddler and small baby?? or was it easier to have say a year or so between them so they were both babies?

although how i'd fit a bigger buggy through the front door is a bigger problem. prob have to use the back doors

After Seth's sleep refusal last night he crashed out as I announced we were doing controlled crying til he went to sleep, and didnt last as long as the first 5 mins :rotfl: :o Oh well, at least if he does it again tonight we know what to do! He slept til 5am in there as well, and then til 7.30 in our bed after that! Woo!

Have to brave the great outdoors again today, the cats need their ridiculously expensive food and we have no ready brek, weetabix or milk for Seth. Joy! His poop is decidedly more of a pasty texture now though so he is on the mend, thank god.

bought the last highcahir in Asda last night. Got 2boxes of nappies and a box of the wipes.
managed to spend £97.57 so told DH to get himself 4 cans to take it over £100 so i used the £10 disc voucher, other coupons and the £2 'we're sorry for overcharging you' so got £103 shopping for £85....not bad at all!!

K's blanket from bizziebaby has turned up. says in the letter its ideal for bugaboo pushchairs?? so we're off in a bit with his posh blanket!!

went to a wedding reception last night, but K wouldnt settle. he'd fall asleep then wake up, and not settle for ages so we were home for 1030. we only got there at 8.15 so had less than 2 hours out.

NMS - have you tried goats milk? we're trying it at the moment for Chris's eczema it's been about 2 weeks and it's almost disappeared with out us using any creams :T warning though Delamere goats yoghurt tastes of goat/farm yard _pale_

Sounds lovely, where can I get some :p

Actually I don't like milk so it's not really an issue, eggs I only like runny yolks and don't have them too often and yoghurts I can give or take too. I also don't like cream so never have cream cakes - fussy? me? :rotfl:

I'm not sure if I don't like these things because Mum was told to avoid them, or if I really wouldn't have liked them anyway IYSWIM

Thanks for the info, I'll have to store it for when Liam gets a bit bigger.

Oh they still make mess. I've already cleaned the kitchen, swept the floor, done the bottles and pots, moved the dry washing etc..... Just about to do some ebay listings then I might get dressed - I while I get dressed I tidy our room and straighted Liams bedding, put clothes away - it never ends
