Aston had them! had to re do his hear this morning bless him, me mum caught them too, me and ryry got away unscathed, but i'd be surprised if a nit could keep hold of my hair I have to much grease etc in it!
  • DKAM I figured if they sent an invitation then they must think it is serious enough to bother giving it to her iyswim. No idea if that is a sensible way of thinking about it or not ;)

  • Oh, and it might be that she just doens't approve of my cooking today. After turning her nose up at her lunch, she has gobbled down a pot of rice pudding, and is now munching through a slice of bread with cashew nut butter with a look of "Why didn't you give me this to start with mummy?" on her face. :rotfl:

Or maybe she was sulking because I told her she was too heavy earlier ;) I need her to learn to walk, so I don't have to carry her out to the car!

We don't seem to create many dishes...Gaz has breakfast at work so no mess from him, I use the same mug/glass all day with just a rinse between drinks, L doesn't create much mess, I dont put in pans and oven trays - I wash thes =e by hand after I've done the bottles, so there is only really tea time plates etc. I forgot to add it is only a slimline one too!
I think that is your trick - I put everything I possibly can in the dishwasher. I hate washing dishes.

i wanna summer baby. may/june ideally. really dont want a sept-dec baby. sept is chocka with K's birthday, our wedding anniiversary and my birthday all within 9 days!!
then DH b-day is in oct!!

which means if we want baby next year we need to start when i go back to work.... which would mean i'd only be back for about 1 year at most.
We're aiming for Summer 2011 too. (Alice hasn't breastfed since Monday now so I think she may have stopped.)
Hi all, hope everyone is well, I dont come on much as at the moment I dont feel I have anything to contribute but I know some of you worry about me and like to know I'm ok, had a few revelations lately, I posted this on my other thread but thought I'd post here too incase you miss it.
    ...
I came accross THIS site a few days ago which was a proper realisation that the situation we were in was bloody awful, ok so he didnt hit me all the time or didnt hit the children but he was extremely controlling, verbally and emotionally abusive to me and my son (not his) and until reading through that site I didnt realise just how much all of it can affect the children.
Good to hear that things are moving in a positive direction and I'm so glad that you have taken action now rather than let it go on for years/escalate further. It can be very hard to admit even to yourself how serious things are so it is good that you are able to do so. You're in my prayers.

I wanted to try him on stuff individually first to make sure he wasn't allergic but gonna try sweet potato & apple, Butternut Squash & pear - it's so exciting but OMG How hard is butternut squash to peel and chop!

Glam, i cut the Butternut squash in half, wrapped each half in foil and baked in the oven at at the same time as i was doing some jacket potatoes. Did the same with the sweet potatoe. Much easier to then scrape out of the skins and then puree.

DKA - I am so glad you posted that. It's the best thing I have read on here for ages. Well done to you for coming to that decision. I hope it works out for you and your boys grow up to make you proud.

Jillie - I am the same as you. Will probably start trying around July/August when I return to work! Not looking forward to telling them if I do get pregnant, but I suppose it's just as easy for them as me doing it another year down the line. They will have to get cover for me again either way. I too am interested in how people cope with a baby and potty training toddler/double buggies etc.

Maz - Gorgeous pictures of Henry. He is lovely (and helpful!)

Sami - Have you tried Netmums? I don't use Mumsnet, but find Netmums quite useful for local stuff. If you can't find any classes listed, ask on the noticeboard and someone will probably give you recommendations.

NMS - I think I will buy some more little bowls as I planned to use the pots I have to freeze the food and then pop it out into bags so that I can reuse the pots and have different bags of different foods. I can't imagine having a slimline dishwasher! Ours is on once a day.

Weezl - Good, balanced letter, stating what your expectations of the outcome which is good, as they have something to work with. How have you put up with that for so long though?

Lady - Why does Feelie deserve a round of applause (nosy parker that I am), - apart from because she is a wonderful person obviously!?

I nipped back to bed for an hour by the way as Holly fell asleep on my lap. Still in my PJs though so need to go and get ready! I am meant to be highchair browsing this weekend.
