Chocolate tasting club? What's that? I like the sound of it!

    https://www.chocs.co.uk

It's very posh chocolates and you get a selection once a month (or less often if you prefer) to rate and comment on. It's £17.95 a box which sounds expensive, but the chocolates are far superior to Thorntons/Cadburys/Nestle etc. I don't spend much on myself but that's my treat. They last ages as well as they are so rich so you can only eat a couple at a time.

Does anyone know where dance schools are likely to advertise? might I find them on mumsnet local?

Do you get a free paper? A leaflet for a dance school fell out of ours when I picked it up last night!

A good nights sleep - what is one of them? :rotfl:DH thinks he isn't ill, just exhausted from when he was ill and not sleeping/eating ehough, so he's had some food and gone back to bed. Just waiting for htis little pickle to want a nap, then I will try and have one too. She has had 2 mini naps in the car though - only 15 mins each, but she seems to think that she doesn't have to sleep any more, even though she is tired..

We're aiming for Summer 2011 too. (Alice hasn't breastfed since Monday now so I think she may have stopped.)

I hope this isn't too personal a question, but how do you feel about this? I always wonder what I'm going to feel like after the 'last' feed. I really admire your breastfeeding journey :)

    afternoon all!!

well put K's highchair together. nice and easy but the tray is a bit of a faff. not sure it i've got it on correct or not but it seems secure enough. folds small enough so it fits nicely beside the dryer. although once we are using it more regularly i'm sure it wont get folded away all the time. ;)

we are all set now to start weaning. have spoons, dishes, baby rice, some nice free samples and some jars of apple/pear (had coupons so worked out cheaper than buying and pureeing myself)

need to do myself a list of which veg to buy.

It seems a little bit strange but it's been very gradual so I'm happy that it's ended (or is ending - I don't know for sure if she's completely finished) naturally and that Alice has been able to feed as long as she wanted. I know a lot of people talk about actively liking breastfeeding but for me it's more neutral - I didn't dislike breastfeeding or anything but it's just something I did because I believe in it being the best thing to do. Does that make sense?

Glam (if she reads back this far when she appears), how come you're trying to develop a sleeping/napping routine at the same time as weaning? Is it important? (where's the confused smilie when you need it) I still let Andrew play when he wants to, and sleep when he wants to. It's only overnight that I've established any routine (milk at 7pm then bed).

here I am & yes I do read back :)

J has always slept for an hour or two in the morning & afternoon, it's generally about 30mins after a bottle so he dictates the routine not me.
He always wants a bottle every 3hrs from when he wakes, I figured if I woke him the same time everyday we would have our routine.

today he woke at 7.30am so have started new feeding routine today
    bottle on waking
    8am breakfast
    10.30am - bottle then nap
12.30pm - lunch gave him broccolli, he screamed the house down halfway thru but wouldnt swallow it or spit it out! I had to scoop it out his mouth!
2pm bottle then nap (still asleep now)

will have bottle & tea @ 5pm then bedtime bottle at 7.30pm.

All I need to do is get my ariss out of bed at 7.30am every morning now!
    Aw, cute!

We don't seem to create many dishes...Gaz has breakfast at work so no mess from him, I use the same mug/glass all day with just a rinse between drinks, L doesn't create much mess, I dont put in pans and oven trays - I wash thes =e by hand after I've done the bottles, so there is only really tea time plates etc. I forgot to add it is only a slimline one too!

I've got a slimline one too and I always wash pots and pans after I've done J's bottles! It used to go on every other day but with BIL living here it goes on everday now.

    Hi all..

Just a quickie update.. That email I sent to Rhys' dietitian on Tuesday night worked. I've just checked my answerphone and his kidney specialist left a msg for me at 9am on Wednesday saying we can stop Rhys weekly jab! Woohoo! :j Basically because his kidneys are working even better yet again so he doesn't need the extra help anymore :D Now we've got one long-term (life long?) med, the special milk and three other short-term meds, down from twelve... :D

Hope everyone has a good weekend xx

That is great news elle! Hope you have a lovely weekend too!

Weezl - how awful for you. I am surprised the council haven't done anything before now - I had to contact the NP people when I lived there but fortunately our neighbours moved!

DKAM - Glad things are going well & :T for Ryry and Aston!

As J was up early we went shopping while OH had a lie-in, J was up a lot in the night so quite tired today. Really hoping it is a tooth after all this grumpiness!
