You really can get an answer to everything here!
It's a running joke with me and OH that everything I find out is from MSE either directly or indirectly.

We had the same kind of trouble trying to get people to do stuff on the house before we moved in - most don't even bother getting back to you when you phone.

It's snowing again here. We found snowdrops in the woods the other day and some buds on some shrubs, so I was hoping that was a sign it was warming up. Maybe not!
Our snows gone today :( but yesterday it started snowing while we were out and Alice's first response was, "I hadn't put my arrow on snowy." because she's got one of those calendar where you mark the day, date, weather etc.

I am Katrina and I gave birth to Alexander herein called Alex) on Sunday :p

He is cloth bummed and bottle fed (formula and ebm) and he is our first :D

He has a lovely sleep routine atm- he wakes for food at 1 and 4- dh has a bit of a rough time with him from 10-12 though.

    So... hello

:j:jWelcome! Don't worry about keeping up with the thread if you don't have time, just dive right in - it's a chatty thread.

If you have a particular question to ask, put it in bold so we see it and don't miss it :)

Maz & Mel I'll join you YAWN!!! Bad night with Jack, he was really unsettled until I went to bed at 1am and then he was wide awake so I brought him into my bed and he slept til 7.30am. Problem is I never sleep very well cos he's usually cwtched in my arm!

Bruno & Em - loving cute stories!

Aless - Glad Finn was OK yesterday. I found it was usually a few days afterwards that it upset Jack more (sorry!!). HE would have jabs on a Wednesday and then usually from Friday/Saturday through to the Tuesday he was grouchy and woke in the night.

Anyways, J's having a nap and OH & BIL are still in bed so now I've finished my brekkie I think I'll make a start on sorting out some more paperwork!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

This morning we were talking about hearts and feeling them beating and I asked Alice what sound her heart makes. She said it goes, "Bum bump." I then asked her why it goes "bum bump" and she said, "Because I love Mummy and Daddy so much." :smileyhea

Bruno! I am never again giving you sympathy when Elijha and your OH are ill because you somehow transmitted the lurgy over to DS2 and I've been up all night with him. Totally blaming you because my DH is away to work and I usually blame him. (glad they are feeling better though)

KT, hiya! Congratulations on having Alex, he sounds like a good baby. Long may it continue.

Beenie, I'll keep a look out for dark cot beds on ebay :D

    Morning all,

Sorry you have not had much sleep again Glam! Hope you don't have a hangover too.

H awoke earlier than usual so I am tired too. Definitely going with the baby rice at lunchtime! She is currently blowing saliva with a "doof" noise so will probably have to change her wet clotes soon! I think I will have a wee sleep when she goes for a nap as we have no plans this weekend. Apart from watching the football tomorrow. It will be a quiet, relaxing weekend, just doing stuff in the house (packing up and storing H's old clothes etc).

Susan/Bruno/Em - your babies all sound adorably cute.

    KT - welcome and congratulations!

Csh - good luck with the pram. I think the weather is worse in Perthshire but since I got totally confused the other night, there is no point in listening to me!

Hope Weezl is ok. I know she is busy on her other thread but surprised she has not been on here at all.

I need a shower badly but if Amber goes into her crib and sleeps, then the temptation to join her may be too much.

Chris only stopped being sick at 7ish then Amber was up at 8ish, managed to get her to snooze till just before 9, but I'm so tired. Luckily DH should be home for about 4pm which is when the tiredness really hits me.

Need to do a tesco shop first.

DS1 is teaching Chris his numbers upto 25, he's so sweet.

    Morning everyone :)

Welcome Katrina, it sounds like you have a lovely baby.

Molly woke at midnight, 2am, 5am and 8am - and I feel fortunate after the last few nights  When she woke, I just gave her enough boob for her to start dozing off again rather than a full feed, and it made no difference to her waking, so I think we can safely give her water instead when she wakes and hopefully that will stop the nighttime waking.

Beenie, is this dark enough? It's only £10 cheaper than the Toys R Us one though so if there are vouchers it might not be the best deal.

Sorry for posting the wrong cotbeds Glam - I'm a bit more human this morning after a few hours of sleep.

Today's our anniversary. OH was not extremely enthusiastic about his present but then it is very early and he was up from 5am with the beastie. We had a mildly embarrassing inequality of gifts though..... he gave me some hot chocolate sachets (Italian ones, I love them, but I get massive sugar rushes and I'm normally not allowed to have them) and a magnetic notebook. I gave him (us) a weekend in the Hundred Acre Wood.
