And that is how I weaned DS2 off the dummy! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
One night I just thought '!!!! it', and left him. He was older though, lil Jack needs his dumdum.
It's strange because he's only wanted it for last 7 weeks or so but has stopped wanting it when he drops off but wakes up for it in the night!
Strange boy!
Fitzio - the room is tiny :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I meant between the cot and the wall (I blame the bottle of wine I've just drunk!)
Jack is like H, he rarely wakes fully but generally just cries in his sleep and is only settled with dummy and a back rub.
Can't be blaming teething for 7 weeks!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

she wont just stay in her cot and chatter away or anything, as soon as she's awake (and doesn't settle herself for whatever reason) she immediately stands up and starts crying.
i can't even leave the room for anything. i touched the door this morning as if to go to leave and she freaked out.
i know it's not good, but i dont want to force her into being on her own because i dont want her to think she's not safe or i'm not coming back (i have my own issues with these things)

When Chris was about a year old he was like that. I spent most nights sitting on the floor by his cot reading stories, then singing songs, then talking crap and eventually I could juggle 5 soft play balls. I used to crawl out the room 1cm at a time, then sit outside the room talking crap, then on the stairs. Went on a good 3 months. We did eventually get there. It's hard work though.
I forget how old your lo is, do you think she would settle in a toddler bed, if it was safe? We used a stair gate on the bedroom door so Chris could go in a toddler bed (after he destroyed the cot at about 14months). He couldn't walk at that time, he cruised a little but managed to climb in and out of bed. He was smart though, DS1 used to fall asleep on the floor at teh gate, Chris always went back into bedsearching_me wrote: »ok tia .. first person shooter is halo 3 or gears of war ... ah! First person then, he has asked for a voucher for a shop because there is a few games he wants (birthday is in April). Need to buy stuff soon because my neices is the 10th April, mine is the 12th, dads is the 14th other neice is the 15th and Christophers is the 19th!
And Glam, pretty soon he will find his own dummy and put it back in, Ambertronic started doing that about 4 weeks ago0 -

Arrrrrghhhhh!!!!!!
As you know we are doing the bathroom. The room used to be seperate toilet and bathroom but it was knocked into one by the previous owner. The bit of wall the toilet was on stuck out about a foot further into the room.
The radiator plumber man said that if he was doing the bathroom, he'd knock the false wall out behind the toilet and move it back so the room was more square. Decided to do that.
Got all the rubble out and discovered micky mouse plumbing work was hiding behind so it all needs altering. It's going into the main soil stack with the added complication of the ensuite also joining in and we decided it was too complicated for us to do.
Rang radiator plumber man back, agreed a price and set a date for the job. He never showed up, and when Craig rang him he said he'd forgot and he'd ring back to rearrange. Never heard from him again.
Found someone else who agreed a price. Asked him for a date and he said he'd get back to me, and never heard from him again.
Found a third man who said he could do the job this weekend. Just got a message from him to sake he has broken his foot, so he's going to be out of action for at least three weeks.
If anyone can magic me a plumber out of thin air, I'd really appreciate it.Here I go again on my own....0 -
Well I'm away to bed.
Today has been A Bad Day.
I'm really glad I could come on here and talk to you guys today as OH has been at work all day.
I've been in touch with an ex-collegue today and also my Deputy from work and I think there is going to be a big turnout at my friends funeral. The least we can do is give him a fitting goodbye:(
This thread has its ups and downs, its occassional b1tchiness and arguements but at the end of the day, there will always be someone here with a kind word and a virtual shoulder to cry on, and I thank you all for that today x
Ok needs a sick-bag now

mfd - I have 2 dummies. seriously need more!
The only reason OH got up the other night was because Jack had hit 2nd one under cot (which also has all his clothes under) and I couldn't reach them or see them (hadn't put specs on!) so Jack was screaming while I was trying to find them!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
