Is she into 6-9mth stuff yet? Kieren is, lanky wee bug, ger!

Just about - into some things, but still wearing out a few of the 3-6 that still fit her. She's getting long now, and weighs 18lbs 6oz! Some of the 6-9 t-shirts I have say up to 20lbs on the labels so not sure how long they'll last :rotfl:

Right, heading to bed - nightnight girls (and boys!)

Glam - can you remind me of the dates again? I don't think I can, as I'm going to a La Leche league conference about becoming a leader one weekend, and to London another. I've not got anything booked for April yet though, or tail end of March, so will make something soon.

    Trafford Centre is 9th March

    Sling meet Friday 12th March - 12-2.

Lowry (near Manc) 7th April to meet MDW and others

April 9th sling meet day out

BEENIE WANTS SOMETHING IN DARK OAK TO MATCH HER OWN BED

MIL has bought Jack LOADS of clothes in the sales aged 12-18m for next winter. I mean loads, apparently she has a little shirt and tie :D
She also had a load of 6-9months sleepsuits and vests but I need them soon and don't know when I'll see her next :( (I do mean that :()

AF - Jack hasn't slept through for about 7 weeks now so I feel your pain.
Last night he went down and didn't hear a peep from him til 12am then one wake up at 3am, best night for ages. But tonight he's already stirred 3 times!
Seems no reason for it either which is annoying.

Where does the time go?

    Hi Fitzo,

From when she was born to around 3 months she was doing the regular wakings you would expect, but she never carried on from there and she stayed being a frequent waker.

Not sure if it is because i never got into any particular routine, i.e. bath/bottle/bed etc from an early age and she always went to sleep in someone's arms.

however, i now do the bath/bottle/bed routine and she may do a good 3 to 4 hours, but after that it is nearly every 2 hours. she does still have a feed during that as well.

I try to console myself with the fact that all babies are different and even if i had another one and if i started putting them down awake from when we got home from the hospital, that they might not be any different to how LO is now.

Alll i have learnt is (and from MFD telling me on numerous occasions :D) do what is best for you and your family.

    xx

    Thanks AF.

Maybe that's just the way she is and nothing would make it any different. Some babies probably need less sleep than others, the same as adults - it's just unfortunate for you that she doesn't like all her sleep at one time!

Holly has not had a night feed since the first few weeks. She just slept through. At first I would feed her around midnight then put her down and wake her at around 6am as I was told newborns need fed every 3-4 hours and I was fed up lying awake waiting for her to wake up sot I would end up waking her so I could go to sleep! But then I stopped waking her and she would do 12-8. Now it's normally about 10-8. This is just the routine she has kind of created herself though. I think I want to try to putting her to bed a bit earlier and to make sure she can settle herself. She usually does this ok, but it's becoming less frequent so I should probably try to nip it in the bud early. Anyway, she was in bed at 9pm tonight so think I will try for that most nights. Hardly any napping during the day though!
