Oh oh oh, has anyone been reading the news?

You know Jenny McCarthy, used to be a TV presenter and then an outspoken anti-vaccination campaigner because she insisted that her son "caught" autism from the MMR vaccine?

It turns out her son does not have autism at all. He has an interesting neurological condition that children grow out of. And now he is 7-ish he has grown out of it.

She continues to insist, however, that vaccines cause autism and says she will continue the fight against them.

ooo, good idea SS. Staining is dead easy - I did our dining room table in a couple of go's. I think you'd have to be careful, b/c if the wood has a glossy finish, it'd need to be sanded first (mega PITA), which is prolly what most cots have to be splinter-friendly .

csh i was int he bath lol! here its clear and wet but my sister said in glenrothes its slushy but again not too bad!! if your worried i could pick it up for you and we could arrange for a pick up later!

SS- that is mad. I saw a woman on a TV programme who had two autistic children. The first had the MMR and the second hadn't yet she still insisted the jab had caused the autism in her first child. It just defies logic....

She is eating tea every day, lunch most of the time and had breakfast for the first time today Loves fruit things, not so keen on the veggies so we're trying her with more of them!

The whole MMR/Autism thing really does my goat in.

I had a shower, Amber is still asleep, Chris is still in just his nappy but seems happy enough and we have no plans to go anywhere today so what the heck.

Mine too. The only areas of the developed world where deaths from measles and mumps are rising are now places like California, where people don't bother to do their own research and rely on Jenny McCarthy to give them soundbytes to spout and sound "informed" :mad:

I have reservations about some vaccines for various reasons (mostly the way they're administered; in Germany you get MMRV and chicken pox is included in the mix; I disapprove for a few reasons) and I know that Susan has legitimate concerns about the contents of some vaccines - but we've both researched our opinions and we're not basing our concerns on absent logic and fashionable mummying.

my little man has been asleep since 8:45! :eek: after a full night's sleep!

SJ, we put Finn in the other room last week. It helped soooooo much and we all sleep much better. I always thought we'd wait until he outgrew the Moses basket, but I'm so glad we braved the change.
