Is there anything wrong with him BM ?? Other than having a mother that clearly doent understand how to look after him I mean !!

I don't think so, nothing has been diagnosed but it would be hard to tell because she spends 0 time with him for his milestones to be recognized.

She bungs him in front of the cartoons with some rattles on his walker.

Funny though when people come round she makes a huge dance and show about how great she is but she doesn't really care, she is very lucky that she lives with her mum and her mum looks after the baby a lot. I dread to think what would happen if she had him all the time!!

She is one of those people who buys nike shoes etc, but doesn't actually bother with the kid.

I bet it won't be long before Dylan is zooming round the house, and chasing after Jasmine.

Is there anything noticeably wrong with Dylan? I remember you mentioned he needed pyshio (I know thats not the right spelling!) for his hands? Are they all good now?
  • GISI - I have no qualms in taking my own highchair (Stokke, Antilop or Bumbo) anywhere. If they supply crappy highchairs (or in some cases no highchairs) then I would rather take my own and have a comfortable, happy baby than suffer because I didn't want people to think I was strange!!!

When I saw Krystal at the chinese buffet (and I had warned her how crap their highchairs are) she had taken the insert cushion from her highchair to stop Caitlyn wobbling around in there.

MM - I'm working on it ;)

GISI - They have those at F&B, Jack was a bit wriggly in it so I just shoved my coat behind him.

Jack has had a suck of some chocolate but other than that nothing that he shouldn't have (except a chip in IKEA on Monday )

  • I'm like that with Katie's cousin who is a few weeks younger doesn't eat fruit or veg.

I remember being at a bbq with them both there, Katie was wolfing down corn on the cob, salad etc, her cousin wouldn't touch any of the food on offer so was given crisps and chocolate instead!

I'm well known for attending family gatherings with boxes of veg and olives for Katie to munch as I know there will nothing of the sort offered.

When Keira was the little boys age she got fed vegetables galore. Now she is a stubborn mule with a loud voice and won't touch salad etc, but she does now eat spaghetti in the tomato sauce, what she doesn't know is that I made the tomato sauce with carrots, celery, peppers, onion and fresh tomatoes and blended all up so you can't see the veg. MUHAHAHAHA!!!

I remember 2 weeks ago the nursery gave the kids corn on the cob for a snack and she came out of nursery and was like "I dont like cobble corn it's gross!" took me about 2hours to work out what she meant, until she told me it was yellow and you bite it like this.....*Keira doing biting motions*

  • Ladybird- I thought of you today as we went to Winch. Any news on the job you interviewed for?

If the place has these, do you think they'd mind if we took ours? I'd check first, but wondered if it was a mad request:o?

Hiya.. no they didn't want me... their loss. Back to the drawing board, but never mind.

I can't put Izzy in those high chairs either - she just climbs out of them. It doesn't hurt to ask them. Where are you going?
Why didn't I think if that, MM?

BM- One of the ladies at my baby group has a baby 2 weeks older than Henry (so 16 weeks now) and she gives her a Kit-Kat to suck on!!!!

 We know someone whose wife gives their 18 month old coke (and not just a little bit - he drinks pints of the stuff!!). Then they wonder why he plays up and doesn't sleep.

  • Hi Everyone

My little girl is 16 months and enjoys her bottles one on a morning and one before bed, she has one formula and one whole milk. I don't know whether to just use whole milk for both, but I am confused by the adverts saying '80% don't get enough iron blah blah, but will get it from follow on milk blah!'

    What are your views??

    Thanks
    FG x

Definitely their loss! We're going to some random carvery in Southampton- not my first choice as a veggie, but ho hum!

But one advantage of a carvery is that at least there won't be a menu to read- my Mum still insists on reading the whole thing out loud and pointing out the things she thinks we'd like- her children are 26 (me) and 30 (my brother). And we can both read. So embarrassing :o.

Thanks for the highchair thoughts. I think a blanket will do the job so he can't move too much.

:eek:On the coke. I wasn't allowed it till I was 18 or something.
