I think it's really interesting Susan, but the immune system development has so many potentially interfering variables that it would be almost impossible to exclude anything - the best we'd be hoping for is correlation.
Has Beenie been on? I was looking out for her but have been off doing work, good me.
I'm also feeling a bit Hmphy because I've been exhausted all day because I was up half the night with the monster, but for some reason I seem to wake right up around 8pm and OH takes Molly off to bed. So they get 3-4 hours sleep ahead of me and while I appreciate the quiet time and this is where I get most of my work done I find myself being a bit resentful that he's snoozing away and I'm working after 10pm because I was looking after Molly while she grizzled and her teeth caused her pain all afternoon and didn't have free hands.
AND my neighbour is playing music on his bastage stereo, and I'm so upset that anyone would think we'd hurt Molly, even though I know he didn't actually think it he was just making a malicious complaint.

Children's clothing size make no sense to me at all. Alice is taller than average (between 75th and 91st centile) and wears 12-18m/2-3y trousers, 5-6 tights, 2-3/3-4 t-shirts, 4-5 coat and dresses ranging from 2-3 to 6-7 (and has outgrown some 5-6 dresses).
See Keira wears 4-5 knickers and 5-6 tights too, 1 of her coats is 18-24 months and drowns her still, she has a nice dressy purple coat, that's age 2-3 and still too big.
I wish they'd all just make the clothes the same! I would buy her nice dresses and things off ebay but I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of sending it back, though dresses seem to be okay as they don't need a waist!
So how tall is Alice? I really have no clue about percentiles! I rarely bothered to get Keira weighed:rotfl:
She's 3ft 2" and well 2 stone 5. Bet the NHS bmi thing says she is fat, Im away to check lol0 -
59th centile, they say 14.9kg is 2stone 4lbs.
Im sure she was about the 50th percentile when she was born. I'd have to dig the book out. I still have her measuring tape with her length marked on it. I'm sure it was about 22inches, but that might be wrong haha!0 -
well done MM and Dylan
Do you reacon there is some kind of instinct that makes babies wake up when Mum is about to eat? I'm not sure there would be any benefit to it (other than once they are weaned I suppose!) Izzy has a sixth sense for it. I've nearly forgotten what it is like to eat hot meals!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Personally, I think that the sooner the problem(s) is identified and physio, OT etc started, the greater the potential for the child to improve and exceed expectations. With brain damage it's all about getting the brain to make the connections to do a specific movement elsewhere if the usual part normally responsible for that movement has been damaged.
Therefore, the parents who spend time at home working with the child has just as much right to be praised as the child and healthcare workers who get the child to reach whatever milestones reach.
And so, in conclusion, well done MM and Chris!!! (and all the other parents out there too)0 -

Jas has asthma, bad enough that we are in A & E 3-4 times a year for her to go on the nebuliser, bu she has never had an attack really badly thankfully. However, she was fairly pre-disposed to getting it as all the women in my mums family, including me had childhood asthma, and all started around 4 or 5 (which Jasmines did) and all grew out of it by the time we were early teens, so we have to wait to see if Jas doesAny question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

He is 8 months and is reaching the milestones of a 6 month old at the minute, which is beyond expectations. He was proper munching on the cookie, and only got a little bit before he dropped it, so the doc gave him another one and D didnt even wait to give him a smile like he normally would when you give him food, he just stuck it straight into his mouth like he had never been fed before:rotfl:
