My BMI is about 27/28. Thing is with me, I know I'm overweight, my stomach is just a big fat blubber belly. That's where ALL my weight sits!!
SS - Your neighbours sounds like a right pleb. You are being restrained if that was me, I'd be showing him some real abuse!! (hugs)
Keira didnt go to nursery AGAIN today, her temperature is sky high, well I dont have a thermometer but still. Her body is roasting even though she is naked? Should I phone that NHS 24 thing? I mean, she had a cold/cough and that's kinda went now and she is just left with a temp. Wouldn't be anything wrong with her with JUST a temperature though would there?0 -
OH probably spends about £100 on clothes a year for himself, because he is too lazy to regularly go out and buy things.
I never used to spend anything on clothes as I felt I was too fat, but now I buy things a lot! Maybe £50 - £100 a month.....but that includes make up and things (sometimes) errrm....yeah I just like to buy dresses and stuff! I really need new jeans, I only have 2 pairs and they both sag at the butt and I need at least 2 new bras so that's probably £50 URGH0 -
Pffft at BMI. If you're in proportion and you can run for a bus and not have a choking spasm once you get there, you're good.
I put no stock in it at all.
The clothing challenge makes me  a bit - I've had two lapses and spent £28 this year (swimsuit, bikini, five pairs of flip flops, a skirt, a top, a pair of trousers and a maternity dress I wanted to buy just in case) but otherwise intend not to buy anything I don't need. I'd normally spend much less than that in a year, although last year was a bit expensive with the maternity outlay.
Speaking of which, a friend of a friend just moved here. She's doing a dressmaking apprenticeship and has offered to make dresses for anyone who wants and can supply the fabric so long as they agree to be photographed for her portfolio. I've lusted after a 1950s full circle dress for ages and if I can find cheap fabric this is an excellent opportunity.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Actually no Susan, I just have to be below 27 for them to even accept my application, I fit all the criteria (if I shift those pesky 3lbs) plus Im hoping my revolting leaking infectious belly button, adds some err weight to my overall issue.
I'll give them a call though, I just hate wasting peoples time when more in need people may need my phone line. I'm such a douche.
I'll do the website thing first, bet she has swine flu or something, and it's all my fault for not getting her, the needle. Teehee.0 -

I'm spending this afternoon looking up the harassment laws, because this kind of business is beyond unacceptable. He's p!ssed at us for reporting him for noise and so he's retaliating in the most vicious and disgusting way.
SS, that is horrendous . Do you need any matches?I had a really really good link that talked about BMI's bullcrappiness with good photos, but now I can't find it...it basically showed a bunch of normal-looking women that "apparently" have a BMI of obese/overweight and demonstrated how archaic & inaccurate it is. BMI was created in the 1840s, you guys, and it's incredible the medical profession still use it today!!

I think weight and BMI is a bit of a minefield. My BMI on the day David was born was 25 :rotfl:. 14 weeks later I am a size 10/12 with a BMI of 21 and a flat stomach having done no excercise and I most certainly haven't dieted! I have always been naturally slim though - I am currently the biggest I have ever been and fully expect to see my weight continue to decrease a bit more yet. what I am trying to say is it doesn't matter what some chart says - some people have a natural shape/size that can't be changed!
Tara, your news made me cry, I am so happy for you, DD & DGD! :AThe one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents:D
