Probably too late now but it was in the news recently that you shouldn't give calpol before the jabs as it decreases the effectiveness of the vaccines. Only give pain relief if they seem unwell afterwards (wont change effectiveness then).
I just googled it and according to the Telegraph it was given afterwards (every 6-8 hours for 24 hours) that had an effect.

    Also found this: http://www.theecologist.org/green_green_living/behind_the_label/346400/behind_the_label_calpol.html

    Evening.

Tara - so pleased for DD and Poppie! You must be relieved.
MFD - thanks for the list of questions. Might use them as a basis for when I start to look for a childminder.
Glam - where did you get your vacuum bags? I went to B&M and they didn't have any.
Csh - we have NHS 24 and in England/Wales it's NHS Direct I think.

    Hello everyone else!

Buttons, in case you need it. 08454 242424 NHS 24 number for Scotland. Think its different for us?!

Thanks CSH. Yeah it is a different number here. Not sure why!

I'll give them a call if she still hasn't perked up later, apart from the hotness she seems okay, but she doesn't have much of an appetite and is quite sleepy!

    That's fantastic news Tara.

Secretary from my Doctor Surgery phoned and I'm booked to see the Doctor on Monday, guess my levels are up from last year, I'm going to take the opportunity to ask to go back on Metformin as I've been thinking about it anyway. I nearly fell of my chair though when she offered me an appointment at 8.20am! Means I won't loose any pay as I've got plenty of time to get to work.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

    Hello everyone else!

PoundStretcher - they were reduced from £3 to £1.50 :money:
I also got some in ASDA last year.

I just cooked THE spicest meal ever! Even BIL was sniffing!

Think Jack is definitely teething - his cheeks were bright red today, he's been a right grump and dribbling like a trooper! Gonna go put him to bed then I'll be back. :)
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

I might try Poundstretchers tomorrow then thanks. OH said he looked there the other day but I think it might actually have been Instore which the local Poundys has changed to!

H has been teething for ages. Today she has been quite bad and has 1 red cheek! That coupled with her lack of morning nap today left her a bit over tired and cranky and she made it through the class before crying for a good 15 mins! Everyone was shocked as they really think she never cries ha ha. But when she does, gosh she is loud. She was just really tired though and fell asleep for an hour as soon as I gave her a bottle!

She is trying really hard at rolling over onto her tummy but hasn't quite managed it yet. Her wee pal was rolling around all over the place though. I don't know what to do about playing on the floor. I get her doing it as much as possible but it's really drafty so she gets too cold and I end up lifting her. Might try it upstairs as it should be warmer in my room I think. Today she was doing really really well on her tummy and didn't even seem to mind it which is a step forward.
