Does anyone know if there is any protection for those that have already paid their loan off with Barclaycard but was still doing the course? I paid the Barclaycard loan off in November to prevent the high APR. I would still really like to do the course but there is no way I could pay the £5000+ for the course again!0

Hi Guys,
I read this on another site... :- (may be useful to raise the profile of this)
I quote:-
"Hello,
in the Midlands Today TV newsroom at BBC Birmingham we have a reporter working on this story right now.
Could some of you affected by this please call 0121 567 6104.
Advent is based in our area.
Midlands Today."0 -
found this on another forum
''All aboard! I just rung Barclays and they are saying they are investigating the situation and can't do refunds right now. They told me to write a claim for refund to administration of the bank. They also mentioned that they will be looking for a replacement training provider, which I don't want to accept at all..''0 -
Guys I have just sppke to consumer direct who have advised that the credit company is equally liable if Advent cannot supply the materials for the course
Consumer credit act section 75
Apparently I should be able to rescind the contract without penalty
so really anyone who hasn't started paying or are still paying should be OK! fingers crossed guys0 -
