Hi everyone, hope you're all ok. Really sorry to hear about the BFNs - here's to a few false results!

I'm very impressed with all you gym talk - makes me feel very lazy. Good on you all, I really should make more effort.

Its a great idea tracking your symptoms (can't remember who said about it - soz), I'm sure I'll forget so keep talking about it to remind me.

Well, my last pill period started on Sat so now I can start trying to work out my cycles once I get past this one. Feels odd (in a brill way) to be going for it but I know it can take ages to get regular (hopefully).

    Take care ladies x

Fairy, remind me of your situation - how long have you been trying?

I was reading something just yesterday about short cycles. Normally they are one offs...something to do with the egg not being quite right and the body aborts it sooner than normal (I hope I'm not talking utter crap - I probably am...I cannot for the life of me find the link), but I'm sure it said it's nothing to worry about as long as it's not every month. So hopefully next month will be back to normal for you.

Came off BCP at end of April 2009, got a bfp end September but found out we'd had a mmc at our 13 week scan so had to have an erpc. Have been trying again since the 1st January this year.

That would kind of make sense about the egg/short cycles. I did get pregnant before when having cycles of between 23 - 25 days so am not overly worried although I would much prefer to have a 27 / 28 day cycle really.

Went to the doctor as expected they wern't very helpful. Even though I took print outs of my charts she didn't want to see them and basically said that as we got pregnant on our own last time we don't need any help so to keep trying for a few more months :o she said if we haven't had a BFP before October to go back - thats another 5 months away. So looks like we'll just have to keep trying and keep our fingers crossed.

The main thing is that is down on my notes more than anything really.

    Morning ladies,

It's absolutely lashing it down here in Sydney... Torrential... I should be on the bus now going to work, but just popped in to see how people are.

I'm still in turmoil about being in Australia or being in the UK when baby-stuff happens... The control freak in me doesn't like not being able to plan, but I know that I'll just have to see what happens. Thinking of applying for a new job and OH thinks I'm mad to do so, but if I'm going to do it, I need to do it sooner rather than later so that I am eligible for maternity benefits if and when baby does come along.

thanks quaver, like i said i am in *just* my thirties and dh wants to wait a while yet. i want to ttc when we are both ready so i am happy to wait.

when it is all systems go i don't want to mess about IYKWIM. i want to make sure we are doing everything possible.

my friends thought this was a bit full on and i should just see what happens. i will probably get one when i come off the pill as it will help me to see what it happening. also i heard you should wait a couple of cycles after coming off pill to get your body back to normal so it could help to avoid the most fertile times as well.

Pebbles - you sound like me! Although, I came off the pill last year because I'd been on it since I was 17 (12 years) and just wanted to see what my body was like off it. Turns out my cycles are pretty normal I think so that's good.

We're not going to TTC until later this year, and when we do I want to be ready and fully up to speed on what needs to happen ;). So I'm on Fertility Friend and although I've not bothered with temping this month, I mostly do it from about CD8 until I can clearly see ovulation. I think we'll try the Sperm Meets Egg Plan (OH doesn't know this yet, boy he's in for a treat :p) for 3 months whilst temping and then if that's not working get more serious with a CBFM (even though I'd quite like one to play with beforehand as everyone on here seems to love them).. Oh and I sporadically take Folic Acid - again, will get more serious with that in the months to come in preparation.

    Happy Tuesday ladies x

    I agree with sexki11en, we can't plan pregnancy:o

So we need to have 1 year of ttc after mc. My mc was Aug, so I should wait 'till Sept?

People does not seem to realise we mc'ers are psycho, and need a baby right now;) (Although I don't have the urge for other people's babies. Never was maternal in that respect, and mc hasn't changed me in that way).

Well I'm going to ask for clomid now. Unless I get that now, I will probably miss ov with OH next cycle, and the ov after that (with OH around) would be Aug...

After mc, I started ttc in Dec. This cycle was only our 2nd ov with OH:o
Obviously I won't mention that fact to my doc. Unless he notices it on my FF chart.

You need to build up folic acid for at least 3 month, ideally 6 month before ttc;)

Oops, best get on it then....... TTC will start Nov-ish....... Not long.

There was a baby making everyone coo and laugh on the bus at the weekend and OK was so so gooey. I just said "Hmm, anyone would think you were broody" and he replied "I just don't shout about it like you"....:T Finally, he's admitting it. Yessssssssssssssssss!

On another note, I've just realised the zip down the side of my dress is undone - I've been at work for 3 hours now.. Great. You would've thought that if I'm grown up enough to consider reproducing, I'd be grown up enough to dress myself in the mornings - apparently not :p !

As with everything it seems to depend on your doctor as I know on another forum I go on people have been told that they don't count mc's and still work on the basis of 12 months ttc before starting the ball rolling with treatment.

I did say my doctors are pretty crap though :o

    Morning all. :hello:
Welcome back GTS - sounds like you had a fab time.
Sammy - glad the new job is going well.
    Sorry about BFN EA.
Sorry doc wasn't more helpful Fairy - like you say at least it's in your notes now.
Blue Monkey...it's lovely and sunny here for a change :p.

Still feeling a bit queasy today. Stood in a shop this morning for about 10 mins trying to decide what to get for lunch...ended up with orange juice and a bag of worthers original...sounds like I have skipped straight to being a grandmother. Also did a trial run of my 10K last night and can barely walk this morning...don't even get me started on stairs...
