Back on the train again after a monumental bad time in my life..... :T0 -
Ok, another good day today. Been to see the house, and I am indeed moving! Have to go sign tomorrrow so will know the moving date then.
It is a smaller house, so hopefully less costly to heat etc. It is a 3 story house, and there is a HUGE cellar...lots of storage area
I am actually really excited about it, but also a lot apprehensive. I don't like change at all to the point that I get depressed if I feel things are out of my control. Moving is unknown, so I am terrified, but trying to keep ahold of the excitement.
I am worried about getting my sky and phone stuff moved over, which I know if really daft to worry about, but it is my lifeline. Again ridiculous I am sure most people think, but I can't do without it. Am going to have to for a short time and boy is that scary!
Off to Cardiff tomorrow as it's my b'day Thursday so shall be back to update diary on Friday. See how little I can spend aside from the petro home (£50 OUCH)
On that note, why are we as a collective not complaining about the cost of petrol these days. it's astronomical!!! GrrrLong Haul number 207 :j

Hey Welshangel
Happy birthday for Thursday! I hope you don't mind me popping into your diary - I know what you mean about sometimes feeling no-one else notices your threads. Mind you, my diary is pretty dull reading for most folks I guess, so I can't really blame them :rotfl:
I think you and I perhaps decided we needed to take control around the same time, and you have no idea how excited I get when I have a no spend day! And I'm very thankful of the £100 clothes challenge to, or else I know that would put a spanner in the work! Today I purposely walked past two charity shops  and was giggling like a mad women when adding the change to various my change pots.
Good luck with the move. Try not to worry about the Sky too much, if you're taking your box with you, you should at least be able to get freeview on that until they get you up and running. At least that way, you can maybe see if freeview would suit you - but with the safety net of knowing you'll be getting Sky.
On that note, my friend cancelled because she really couldn't afford it. They called her to try and convince her otherwise, she had to keep saying no (she has two kids with special needs, Peppa Pig and Brum can be the only way of calming down one of them! so she definitely sees it as a necessity.) In the end, she got a really good deal for a year - you could maybe try that if you know you can stand your ground
And yes - why are we not junmping up and down about fuel costs; they've creeped up past the amount we were all shouting about last time, I'm sure!
Enjoy Cardiff. Sorry the rugby didn't go your way. Though at least you still played better than Scotland!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Hi Nicca! You're very welcome here, as anyone is
And thank youYes, I have finally shaken myself to sort myself out. I'm the same, I look with pride at my little saving tins
It really does take a weight off when you have decided to do anything, regardless if nothing significant has happened yet.
OOh, I didn't know I could still get the freeview, that helps, problem with being without the sky full time is that most of the programmes I watch are on sky sports or living etc. I'll give it a go with sayng I am going to cancel though. Maybe when I say I'm moving, at least get the move fee reducedGood on your friend though :-D
I shall try, very much looking forward to the game Saturday, I don't mind losing to the other teams....well maybe not France...but I hate losing to the English...:-P
Look forward to seeing you on here more, and I shall pop over to yours for a noseyx

Right, signed for the house, but why is it once the signature is down, THEN they ask for more money! GRRR!

I am just despairing at the moment, feel alone, feel like even on here my threads are ignored, (yourself and others on here aside) Just feel pathetic and worthless.
You're not being ignored on purpose. So many new people started diaries in January and wrote really well for a week or so and then never wrote again, your readership will pick up in time.
Most of us write for ourselves anyway, entertaining the masses with our regular balls ups is merely a consolation prize although it helps when once in a while someone else comes along and says hey I did that too. Mostly its just nice being able to rant.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

You're so rightmoo2moo - I gotta feel for any-one that logged into my diary after my rant last nightBut feeling so much better today!
I think it's just some-times hard, when your having a bad day, to see how many views a thread has had and yet no-one's commented. Even though you know fine well the amount of times you've lurked around threads that are pertinent to you and even though you know you've read threads and thought, I don't know the answer to that so I can't comment. It's just trying to keep that in mind and not taking it personally - which is always hard when you're feeling down!
Though right now, I've just come back from the gym full of energy (it's only the second time I've been!), was tooted and waved at by a random guy in a van as I was walking back and currently smiley, positive and feel as though I could put the world to rights. Now, to bottle that feeling...

Hey WA
Just read your comments on my SOA. As soon as I figure out what Inland Revenue need to know from me, I'll let you know how to go about claiming your tax back.
It was doing my head in yesterday so I gave up in disgust  (adopted as my rolls eyes smiley). There appears to be a form, but you don't seem to be able to get it anywhere so you have to write them a letter. Feel I should tackle it again today!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
