Thank you. Do you know how much roughly it'd cost? I'm trying to budget my trip.
Also on that note, I know about the tkts booth and broadway box, is there anywhere else to get decent discounted Broadway tix? It's annoying the tkts website doesn't list the actual price just the % off and it's making the planning a bit more difficult.0 -

That'll cost you at least $52 according to:

Have you considered the considerably less expensive options?

Hi, thanks for that. I wouldn't mind public transport so much but it's my first time and I'm travelling along, arriving at 8.30pm.."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
I'm looking at travelling to New York on or around 4th February 2015.
Flight prices are currently £546 with BA and Virgin.
Do you think prices will get any cheaper, or is it more likely they will only go up?
Alas, an improving world economy increases demand, which pushes prices up.
To answer your question, don't know!0 -
How about Manhattan Mall?

After letting her loose in there, the adults might need to seek out the nearest WalMart!
It's not got the greatest shops in it, to be honest. Depends if she wants a discount outlet mall or just any "mall". Can't see there being much in there for a 15 year old.
I know a lot of people like Woodbury Common, but it's out of town, so you need a trip or bus ride. It's more designer labels at outlet prices, if that's the sort of thing she's after. I'm not into designer labels, so never been.0 -

I got eight cans of Pepsi for £2 in Tesco the other day. Where can I stock up at this sort of price next time I'm in New York?
We always take a little bottle of water and just refill it at water drinking fountains in stores like Macy's, Ann Taylor etc.0 -
Many thanks for posting this info.
We fly into Newark later on in May so this will affect us. At least your posting has prepared us for this.0 -
Hi all, looking at surprising the gf and taking her to new york for the last weekend of october (half term, she is a teacher!), flights seem decently priced and might take the plunge to buy in the next month or two.
Hotels seem a little on the steep side! Is this because i am looking so far in advance and would be better booking a couple of months beforehand? As an example 5 nights in thr hilton eastside is £471 in may half term but £890 in october.
Also heard the airtrain is a good way of getting there from jfk or newark.
Has the new visa online registration sped up immigration? I have been to new york twice before but over 8 years ago now and the wait at jfk was over 3 hours each time!0
