Aha, I didn't even realise. You've got a sharp eye!

Is it strange that I've been to New York twice and have yet to go to ESB or TOTR?! Might definitely pay a visit this time come March.

Also, need more ideas on how to present this holiday as a present for the girlfriend! I was going to put the boarding pass inside of a NYC Guide book for her but obviously you dont get the pass till a day before you go. Ive got her an NYC guide but Im not sure what else I can do to say HEY! WERE OFF TO NYC.

How's about u get a small box and place in it an apple (big apple) and wrap this up,

Let her open it, and then give her a card / envelope with $s inside maybe...

Hey guys, Ive found some cheap flights for you all departing heathrow to JFK for as little as £299 return! Just to make you aware as this is the primary NYC board.

I think there are always on time issues with Kuwait Airways. Only 22% of the flights that have departed LHR have landed on time. I would personally pay the extra for a full service US or European Airline with a on time history.

How about one of these, I think they're great for planning and making notes of things you want to see, do and places to eat and can also use as a journal to record details of your trip - a great thing to keep after.

How much did you pay for tickets and where will you be seated? I'm also planning on going to see the Knicks in March, waiting to see if prices come down.

Go see the Brooklyn Nets instead, better team, cheaper tickets, brand new stadium. Go Nets! :T

Going back next month for my 3rd visit! ...<SNIP>... Also planning on going up the ESB for the first time (hoping its quieter in Feb!) been up TOTR 3 times (love it!) but feel the need to do ESB now.

The queues for the Empire State Building are said to be shortest at 8am (opening time), 3pm and after 11pm. I can vouch for 8am having short queues.

I've actually just bought her one of those as a present, I've had a little peep inside and it's very cleverly set out. I was just wondering how to present it. Maybe I should go along with other suggestions and maybe put some dollars inside and fingers crossed.. she might get the hint aha

    Hi all

I am thinking of going back to the USA in August 2014 (have 2013 sorted)

So I hope come Sept 2013 to be booking USA for 2014

I have been to NYC 3 times, March, May and December, I have never been in August and was just wondering what the weather is like, I read that its "cooler than july", but I would like someone who has been there in the same months as I have could compare. In march 2003 we had lovely weather, no rain, just a bit cool from 7pm or so on (had to buy the obligatory NYPD hoodies) Dec 2003 was very cold, deep snow etc, and May 2007 was lovely, nice and warm, not a drop of rain

So guys, how will august compare?

I am torn between NYC and Vegas, but it seems Vegas is too hot in Aug, so I might go for NYC again,

If it is NYC I go for I would hope to catch some of Harlem wk, any one been?
    Thanks guys

4 of our 5 trips to NY have been in the last week of august running into the 1st few days of Sept.

The weather has always been hot as a hot thing and being in the subway will take your breath away its so dry and hot down there.

However we have also been caught in the worst rain storm ever at the end of Aug and last time we were there we flew out the day before hurricane irene hit.

I would happily return at that time of year but factor in drinking lots of water and jumping into shops just to cool down
Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right

    Hi

I have been in July and August. July was unbearable hot, felt the need to have 2/3 showers a day due to the humidity. Made my skin go crazy too! August is cooler, but still rather hot I found.

Out of the two, I'd go for August if I was you.
