Around £450 direct from London Heathrow is around the cost I'm seeing. Hasn't really shifted in the past 12 months (oops, I shouldn't have said that!).
Mthe 429 I'd seen was with ebookers or similar and you'd said earlier to book direct (or someone who I think talks sense!). Will book the first 450 flight I can find with an airline. Thanks again:)
Bern :j0 -
I prefer to book direct with an airline. I mainly use Delta anyway, rarely look at other airlines prices, as they always seem to work out cheapest.

I like delta . Pig ugly staff but i think i will be safe in hostage situations:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

I don't see why you need to find this product, specifically in a store in Manhattan.
Amazon sell them - http://m4rk.in/VUnaTz
It's going to be one of those products, that is so very hard to find in stores. If there is a Warner Bros store, you could try there, but for something so specific, I'd buy in the UK just so you've got them.0 -
Hi Mark,
Yep - saw the Amazon one but its priced at £22.99 for 1 where as Amazon US has them at $39.95 for 2 so was hoping to find somewhere that sold them close to that.0 -
Well, online maybe. It might be worth purchasing online, and getting it delivered to your hotel room. I've had things delivered to a hotel room before without any issues.

Hi all
We are off to NY on xmas day for 6 days, we have done a rough itinary and wondered, as it is our first trip, whether you lovely people would cast your eyes over it and see whether it is do-able
arrive 10.40 pm - JFK - taxi to hotel - sleep!!
boxing day ---grand central station (to have a look) rockerfeller centre, top of the rock, planet hollywood (dinner?), m&m store, few shops (not necessarily in that order)
27th ---statue of liberty, ellis island, boat cruise (we are aware it is currently closed but hoping it will be open by the time we get there, will check before we go and if not make other plans for this day)
28th ---intrepid boat museum, cake boss shop
29th ----empire state building, NY public library, central park (ZOO?? Ice skating??) metroplitan museum of art
30th Battery park, 9/11 memorial and museum
31st ---- not planned yet,
1st fly to LHR very early!
also planning on going to theatre and possibly night football. hockey/ basketball game
what do I need to book ahead for? is it worth getting the NY passes? have we missed anything iconic??
Thanks very much for taking a look0 -

Do you intend to go in the library on 29th, if not and its not really that fascinating anyway, you can visit it whilst your looking at grand central as its at the end of the block where grand central is.
for broadway tickets have a look at broadwaybox.com for discounts and if you want to go to a sports event then def pre-book either through ticketmaster.com, and remember to print at home to save delivery or if the event is sold out check out stub hub, actually check stub hub first as they often have cheaper tickets but remember to compare and contrast between the two sites.
NY passes are a waste of money as you get tied to them and feel you have to go to places to make them worth there while, personally I love mooching around NY and deciding to visit places on the spur of the moment.
I would also highly suggest starting yourself a google map and dropping pins in the places you want to visit this save a lot of time wasting going up and down the island.
And planet holywood?? really you can visit planet holywood anywhere but each to their own i guessLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -

Thanks for the tips about bookings, love libraries so just wanted a mooch to check the sheer size of it, planet hollywood is a teenager thing, google map is a good idea, we have iphone and ipad so we have the technology!0
