Or are they all much the same?
Much of a muchness. Most give 31" pitch, all give complimentary baggage, 1 piece, 23KG. All give free drinks... It is just who you prefer.
Me, I prefer delta. That 1" extra making it 32" pitch is a major factor in my decision.

Hi, my first post...here goes...
I'm due to arrive in Newark Airport on Friday and stay overnight nearby. I then plan to get up early the next morning to go to New York (for the first time) and spend as much of the day there as possible before returning to the hotel in Newark....
I only have the one day in New York before heading elsewhere and I've written a list of must see's that I know of:
Times Square
Ground Zero
Wall Street
Top of the Rock
Empire State Building
Statue of Liberty
Is there anything I have missed which is a 'must see' and does anybody have any tips regarding travel between these places.
Thanks!0 -

You only have 1 day in Manhattan. Well, first thing is to group things sensibly, if you did them in that order, you wouldn't get them done. Also, why see NYC from up high twice, in such a short limited amount of time.
From Newark get the PATH and through to WTC.
Unfortunately for you, Ground Zero no longer exists, and it is now called the World Trade Center Memorial. Unfortunately more, as you've not planned, there will be no tickets, but if you turn up early enough, there may be some released on the day. If you are lucky, you'll spend about 45 mins here.
From there, walk down through to Battery Park, and head on the Staten Island Ferry, and you'll see the Statue of Liberty. Head off the ferry, straight back on, and you're in Manhattan. This takes an hour, so if you started at WTC at around 9am, it is around 11am now.
Walk up from the ferry terminal, hit Wall Street, head up and see the Charging Bull. Hop on the Subway, and head to Rockefeller Centre, and up to the TOTR. Once you've done that, you can walk through to Times Square. It's probably around lunchtime now, and in a tourist trap of a location for food, so hit the subway, head to somewhere else for lunch IMO.
So, it's now 2pm, and you have the rest of the day... whatcha gonna do?

Hello
The Mamara Manhattan is nice, but further out on 92nd and 2nd.
I have recently stayed at the Affinia Dumont 34th and park and liked staying there.
Other hotels with kitchens that I know of (a little pricey, but not sure what time of year you are going)
The Gansevoort Park
The Setai
Andaz 5th Avenue0 -

Someone then boarded the bus to collect the fares and from there it was straight to EWR.
I think there's a bus about every 20 mins.
There are different, but identical looking, buses that go to each of the airports - just check with the driver that it's the right bus before he loads your luggage under the bus!
Was this the Olympia bus? We are planning on using this, definately for our trip from Newark and possibly for the trip back. However, we are staying our last night at an airport hotel (Doubletree) and I THINK the Olympia bus goes direct to the airport terminals. I'm thinking would it be OK to drop off at the first terminal and then get on the hotel shuttle bus back to the hotel. The hotel is about 2 miles from the airport. Would this be a mither with 2 suitcases? The alternative is taxi, but this probably would cost more.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0 -
Has anyone ever used the airport lounges at Newark Airport?0
