Is it worth going the distance to Woodbury or Tangers for Gap, Nike etc?
I went to Woodbury Common a few years back & it's huge (much bigger than Cheshire Oaks if you've been).
Some of the discounts were really good & combined with the good exchange rate at the time, it worked out really cheap. I got quite a bit, mainly from Nike, Adidas, Fossil etc.0 -

Jersey Gardens on the otherhand is vey good. I've been twice and will be going on each of my future tips to NY. There is lot's of good brands A&F being one of my fav don't get many of them in the US and concidering how expensive the flagship is on 5th.

I am trying to book a hotel for my mum for 1 night after her cruise on 9th September 2012. The prices I have had is £118 for the Pensylvania Hotel (but reviews are beyond awful!) £148 for the Wellington Hotel and £156 for the Radisson Lexington. Out of the 3 can you recommend which is better in terms of Location etc. She is staying 3 nights pre cruise in the New Yorker hotel so she would preferably like a hotel near there however as I havent been to New York I dont know what ones are nearest. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.0

I'm thinking of getting one of these next month, and found out some info about the special offers from cnet.com's website, I can't post links as I'm a new user.
Even with adding Tax, it will probably be about £30 quid cheaper than the UK roughly.0 -

I'd say for the brands your looking no its not worth the distance or the money ($30-40 ? is it off the top of my head) need to concider the cost of transport as your bargins might not be cheap as you think. If you had alot of money and wanted 'bargins' on Chanel, Dior, Gucci etc then yes its prob worth a look.

Location to what ? they are all central to most things Manhattan but most things are . All about the same walking distance from Times square (radission a little closer) all in Safe areas all about the same distance from the port for crusies. Penn has a bit of a hostel image -never stayed there . Wellington gets flogged to death on Lastminute etc Radission are decent basic rooms and not a bad size . If its for one night after a nice cruise for your mum why not push the boat out a little and give her a long lasting memory instead of just a hotel room. Look at Others The Kimpton or Affina comes in about the same as the Welly much nicer hotels in just as "good" a area. Sunday nights are often the cheapest nights to book a hotel room or to get a deal. Email the hotels direct and see what they come back with . If its a special occasion dont forget to mention it ( birthday,Anniversary, wedding day, Cats birthday HRT week .
Sorry I thought I had said that a hotel near the New Yorker would be good. That is where she is staying for 3 nights before her 10 night cruise. She only needs a room for 1 night to sleep in, it's not for a special occasion or anything. The price for the radisson Lexington is prob the most she'd be willing to pay for the 1 night. I just didnt know if the location of it was good or not. Since you say the radisson is closer to times square then I think she may just go for that. Thanks for the info.0
