Lots of the well known chain hotels will have rooms with 2 doubles.
Have a look at their websites, if you put in some dates they will give you the options of the different rooms that are available, usually 1 king or 2 queens are standard options.

  • Will be in NYC for the 2nd time next summer. One thing I missed was Chinatown/Little Italy. Was it any good - and if so, any restaurant recommendations for lunch/dinner?

Whenever I go on one of our trips I always use booking.com, hotels.com and expedia.co.uk and never had any problems with any of them. Of course for extra security pay with a credit card

Often booking.com is tax exclusive, just make sure you read properly. Taxes may either be applied at the end of the booking process, or payable locally.

Hi, I need some quick help please!

I'm off to NYC on Thursday (eeeeeek!!). Just trying to plan which attractions I want to go and see.
I definitely want to go to Statue of Liberty, Top of Rock and Empire state building.
Am I cheaper booking these separately or buying a pass that covers certain attractions?????

    Any advice massively appreciated

    Thanks :-)

Is there a pass that covers both ToTR & ESB if you want SoL just for a photo you can ride the Staten Island Ferry (Free) If you want to land and go up the SoL you can do it on line (do Ellis Island too)IMHO. Central Park has to be another do & try to sqeeze in a show one evening too. Just enjoy NYC and soak it up as you go. I have always had a idea what and where but i never fill it all and always add more. (note to self. 2 things i want to do next time Apollo Theatre Harlem & High Line starting at Gansevoort . & LFC Bar (thats 3)

Thanks for that detailed report - We are heading over in a couple weeks for 4 nights and are hoping to go to a few bars on the Friday and Saturday night (and hopefuly for a couple the other nights too) I have heard the Meatpacking district is the place to go for nightclubs? Would you say that Greenwich would be better? We are a young(ish) married couple (27 and 30) and were hoping for live music one night and a nightclub the next.

Hey there sorry for the late reply.

We didn't go into any actual nightclubs. But most bars are open till 4am so you really don't need to.

Meatpacking District & Greenwich Village were both good for bars. Check on the internet. Bleaker Street. There's loads of places to eat and bars around there. Plenty with live music offerings to. Check out a Jazz cafe while your there too. It was the only place with a constant street of bars - Most other places were spread out on different streets i found.
