Evil idea no 2, ask the can't collect people for their address to deliver, then send the rest there for their stuff...I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

I have given away loads on freecycle and also received a lot. The last thing a lady kindly gave to me was a tommee tippee closer to nature electric breast pump in fab condition...worth £79.99 in the shops. I was also given a prima papa high chair, worth £150 in black leather effect. I have given away guitars, consoles, clothes, baby things, nursery items, heaps really.
If i would like something, I always send a very polite email, expressing an interest, showing a willingness to collect without presuming I have got it and thanking them for consideration. I have to say there has only been two things I have emailed for that I havent got, so I do think manners etc is very important when it comes to freecyle.
For myself, I tend to ignore any emails that say, 'yes please.' or come across as demanding. I prefer to know if they are able to collect, though I am not really bothered why they want the items.:starmod:Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1189:starmod:0

I advertised a king size mattress on freecycle.
"Lady" and teenage son turned up, he was huge, and couldn't speak a work apparently and just shrugged his massive shoulders, She said he needed a mattress as he had outgrown his, she whacked him round the head and said "are you gonner give him an effing hand then or effin stand there looking effing stoopid"
Myself and the hulk lugged the mattress into his mums car, and managed to get the tailgate shut after a pit of huffing, shoving and puffing.
She then whacked him round the head again and said "are you gonne effing thank the nice mister then you effing tool you have somewhere proper to effin sleep now thanks to him"
 I havent advertised anything since 0 0

We had an attempted break-in within 24 hours of my first Freecycle/Freegle collection...more than likey an unfortunate co-incidence but still enough to leave an unpleasant taste in my mouth.

On my local freecycle this evening:
It's the "variable condition" that concerns me.:eek:Lots of pairs of mens Y fronts and boxer shorts, variable condition - most of
the boxer shorts look sound. If interested please make sure you REMOVE Freecycle
from the subject line or it will just go to junk.:www: :: MFi3 ::

I have a very large garden that has become overgrown due to the fact that I am now unable to care for it and my husband had a stroke last year, so I put it on free cycle if someone wanted it to grow their own veg etc, there is also 3 greenhouses that they could use, but was refused by the admin because is does does not comply with landfill, but they allow adverts for people to give away/advertise chickens , cocks and kittens, puppies0
