We are looking at a 4 night stop over afetr a visit to see friends in Florida. Likely to be the last trip we will make to the US, so would like to make the best of it.:j :j0 -
When we went to New York a couple of years ago, we used https://www.priceline.co.uk, along with https://www.betterbidding.com, and stayed at the Westin Times Square, which was wonderfully sited for all the main sites. I can't remember how much we paid, but it was a 4* hotel for the price of a 2* - very pleased.
By the way, NY is amazing - it really does live up to your expectations!!0 -
Go to ba.com/travelshops and click through the links that say 15% off on the side. Certain dates in August are available for £150 rtn (the fare is £12, all the rest is tax and surcharges) next fare up is £200rtn.
This offer is due to the closure of all BA travel shops.
Hope this helps someone.Charles J0 -

My friend booked 2 return flights to New York from 4 - 10 October yesterday, through Expedia for £515. Today, those same flights are £350 with American Airlines. It is cheaper to book through https://www.aa.com. The 2 flights come to $642.20, whereas on https://www.americanairline.co.uk, the cost is £495.
If you want to go, now is the time to book, IMHO.0 -

Thanks for this... Christmas shopping here I come.
Just one question. These prices are different to the normal BA offers. Do you need codes etc to book via Travelshop?0
