I definitely don't believe KVet to be a troll - he has given some extremely informative information on a number of threads I have been involved in. You cannot label someone as a troll due to the fact that you disagree with their opinion

What the heck are you on about? Was that supposed to mean something? Did you miss some punctuation?

Troll or not, the cotton bud stuff is advice I've been given before. Calm down, love.

    Exactly.

adding more text as message is too short :rolls eyes:

I appreciate the advice, and I have read about it elsewhere on the internet.. but personally I don't want to go down that route because I would be scared of hurting Lily (and yeah I know its probably a lot better than a tomcat, but thats a natural thing they are prepared for)

I'm going to fess up about the cotton bud thing.

The yowling was getting on my nerves after her going into heat AGAIN, a week apart, the vet said they wouldn't do it unless she had been out of heat for 6 weeks.

So I made my friend do it :) She wouldn't come near me when in heat, only went for males (hated OH, but when in heat would be over him like a rash) Anyways, it didn't work because the cat yowled a bit too loudly when he errrm put it in, which I believe is normal, but he thought he had hurt her, and I had to pull the bud out of her floof.

I found a vet that would do it as soon as she came out of heat. Thankfully!

Maybe try getting her some new toys for a quick solution as cats in heat seem to have a lot of extra energy. I had Missy spayed before she had her first but surely some sort of distraction will help?

I was not referring to KVet as a troll in case anyone thinks I was, I am pleased to have vets on the board.
