Cat on heat

I don't see how a cotton bud would cause serious damage compared to a barbed penis tbh!0

It's a miserable time for them, which gets worse over progressive seasons until it's almost constant. As soon as the anaesthetic wears off, it's like the sun coming out, they are so relaxed and happy.
Me and my OH have both been out of the house for the past few months as I've had a part time job & extra hours at uni, and he works. So I wanted to wait until one or both of us could be at home all day with her after the operation to keep an eye on her while she recovers. And I wanted to research vets around here to see which one would be best for us and Lily. It will be getting booked today though, as well as her vaccinations and microchipping

Ha! Oh dearie me! It is a recognised method of taking a female cat out of heat. Obviously you dont just ram it in there! JeezoMy god they get worse  Thats a ridiculous thing to suggest. I guess your one of these with an animal fetish? If stupid people read and follow that the cats could have serious damage.0 -

If the Op has started this thread because they are asking for advice then how are they supposed to know about and do that?0 -

Aah, I understand now - makes perfect sense. Thank you - I was wondering if there was a veterinary reason for this!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
