    for xp i think 1GB is fine but 2GB would make it faster, depends on the OP's needs

    Couple of things:

    1. Having removed Norton can you rerun HJT and post the new log
    2. What cpu are you running and how much RAM do you have?
    My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

    Youve got a very fast single core cpu but thats seriously 'bottlenecked' by the very low RAM

    1 gig would see a HUGH increase in speed ~ buy some more
