    Afternoon all

First day back at work today and I am absolutely shattered. Chicken for tea with roasties and cauliflower cheese, already from freezer so easy enough thank goodness. I am so glad I made a load of meals in advance of hosp stay we would have had to resort to a takeaway tonight if not.;)

JC hope it went well today.
    Ivyleaf have a great time:D
Lowesy - thinking of you (((Hugs)))

Hope you all have a great evening - off to put the washing on the airer now whilst tea cooks. Will catch up with the thread later

    Hello everyone :hello:

Don't think I've posted for a couple of days. Just busy in the garden all weekend and now paying for it because the house is trashed. :o
Managed to get the kitchen and living room cleaned today including the wooden floors. Tommorrow will be upstairs including the bathroom as I want to leave Wednesday clear for baking and gardening before Aussie gets here on Thursday. :D
Spoke to her this morning and she had a great time at the meet. ;)

Just had an early tea of pork chow mien made with the leftovers from Sunday's roast and about to take the girlies to Brownies. Will pop into Aldi for some veg while I'm out then spending the evening in front of the tv with the ironing pile. We were supposed to have haggis for Burn's night but I forgot to buy some.....:D

Well done on the blog Thrifty :T. I did consider doing one but it seems so time consuming. :o
Sorry for your troubles JC and Tired Mum. Take care of yourselves. x
Hope you're doing ok Lowsey. x

I'm just off to bash our tatties & neeps in time for DF coming in...he can make the cranachan, as I can't make it as nice as his (he probably uses more whisky than I do :rotfl:)

    TTFN!

I overslept this morning so didn't have time to post.
Fingers crossed for JC, hugs to lowesy.
Popped into the co-op after work as it's next door to the bank & I had money to pay in, spent £8.14 on whoopsies & shared them with DD.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Evening.
Managed to clean the kitchen and dining bit this morning before we went to soft play centre. Done about a third of my ironing this afternoon. My mum kindly had DD whilst I watched the 39 Steps and ironed away :D Sadly I missed the last 10 mins of the film  I do hate it when that happens! Will continue with it tonight, kids bedtime permitting.
Still never got sausage casserole ready for tonights tea :o Am turning into a rubbish housewife :rotfl: Have been snacking on HM sausage rolls so not really that hungry anymore - a makeshift tea tonight I think ;)

Other than that nowt going on. DS had a hissy fit over wearing his nursery jumper/fleece - it is definately a trigger for him which isn't good considering come September he'll HAVE to wear it as uniform is compulsory in Reception.

Tiredmum - hugs to you xx

Ivyleaf - sorry to hear you've not been feeling too good. Hope you have a lovely time in NZ :D

Mrs MH - well done on the weightloss!

All of you celebrating Burns Night have a nice evening :)

Just had out tatties neeps and haggis, there is enough haggis to have in the morning for breakfast with grilled bacon and tomato's.

More packing done, we seem to be getting on top of it. our bedroom is almost done, the back bedroom and bathroom have had everything moved that can be moved. The bookcase in the sitting room has half of its books in boxes. I am dreading doing the kitchen.......all those cupboards to empty aaaaagggghhhh....

Tomorrow I have a haircut booked, I am going to ask her to cut it really short until I find a hairdresser north o'the border.

I have found a home for my antique fiddle bed sewing machine, the shop where I went on Saturday for my workshop is going to take it. I am taking a quilting friend with me to go and deliver it on Saturday.

I am shattered tonight, so I am going to relax on the sofa till bed time.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

DH not feeling too well, he's in bed,, various ailments but its hard trying to get him to the docs.I do worry about him a lot with his history of heart disease.

OS - I've had a quick tidy round while tea was cooking and put the WM on. Upstairs needs vaccuming and the beds need changing.Plus there's ironingto do but that can wait.

I fancy a long soak in the bath later and an early night as I didn't sleep well last night at all, just couldn't turn off iykwim.

Great pics of the meet. If there's a midlands meet anytime count me in!:)

Thank you all so much for your kind comments and thoughts today. Its lovely to feel so much support.

We have to go back on the 15th February where they will review things again as the PPS are waiting on interview transcripts and forensic reports (there isn't either of those things...) so it the waiting game again.

DH got an old/new car cheap so that's the transport sorted - my hubby is lovely and such a support.

Just looking forward to going to see my family next week - I'm looking into taking DS1 & 2 with me as I think they could do with some of Grandma's TLC too.

    Thanks again

    Evening folks

Sorry to hear there's still lots of illness & worry on the thread. Hugs to eveyone in need.

Isn't it cold today?! I was on duty at the cemetery this morning & the cold & damp seemed to get right inside me. Glad I'd had a big bowl of porridge!!

Lunch was toast & HM chicken liver pate - 2nd of the 3 pots made last week & frozen.

Feel like I can legitimately post today as I've also done loads of baking since I got in from work. Treacle tart, jam tarts, mince pies, sausage rolls & a bread & butter pudding.

Also made a "wacky cake" for DS1 as it's his birthday tomorrow & he complained yesterday that I never make it for him now he's grown up & left home!! It's a chocolate cake recipe passed on from my MIL when I was first married 30 odd years ago. It's very simple & very moist. but it's a weird recipe with butter, flour, vinegar, vanilla essence but no eggs. I make it in a shallow tray, cover it with melted chocolate and cut into squares.

Speaking of which it's probably cool enough to put the choccy on now so better go.

    TTFN
