Lovely photo of meet on Saturday....you all look so well, glad that you had a great time, congratulations to photographer. I hope to make the next one if the problem with my roof doesn't mean a whole new roof....can't even think about it.
Feeling good to-day as managed to persuade OH to buy himself a new pair of trousers and some new boxers, couldn't get him to go for any shirts though, but think that he is ok until he goes back into short sleeves for the summer.
Lamb chops for dinner to-day, with last of potatoes....when we got back from shop Kerry had thrown them all over the floor, glad there it wasn't a full sack.
JC...hope that court went ok for DS.
Thriftlady, your blog looks good, rarely manage to get onto blogs as I am trying to limit pc time a bit.
DD4 bought herself a new Renault Clio yesterday, she has a 10year old Corsa which is started to have problems so she decided to take advantage of a scrappage deal....€9900 on the road, including 3 years AA and tax.....I paid €12500 for my Clio in 2002 so a good deal indeed. She hates driving but needs to drive to work as there is no public transport that way, so I reckon that she should get at least 10-15 years out of it. Her brothers were saying not to buy a new car, but she needs something reliable as her journey is cross country on side roads and she knows nothing about fixing cars...maybe she should learn over the next couple of years to be ready for when she needs it.
Dry here to-day so I have opened windows to let the house have a blow through....needs it I think as not sure that they have been opened much since Christmas!
Ivyleaf....enjoy your trip, look forward to hearing about it when you come back.
Hugs to all in need or want of one, will possibly be MIA until Friday as not sure I can borrow a laptop to take with me...

We've done a similar deal on an Alfa-Romeo MiTo to get rid of my 12 year-old Hyundai. Apart from the reliabilty & warranty etc, there is the benefit that the Government have paid the depreciation for it with the scrappage allowance, and we are intending keeping our new one for about another 10 years too! Am hoping to pick my car up next weekend.....am getting all excited now!0 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry to have missed the meet yesterday. Hopefully I will get to the Imperial War Museum.
nmlc - Ds used to go to mini rugby and the clube were always very family friendly, much better than the equivalent football clubs where you semed to get a lot of parents taking it far too seriously IMO.
jc good luck in court, I hope it comes to nothing.
Taplady, I have been wondering if your DS and his partner are OK now?
OS this weekend I did all the ironing mountain and washing and ironing but that was all as I was ministering to DH.
I'm thinking of knitting myself a snood as there is a simple pattern on the rowan site and I suffer horribly with sore ears in the cold. It's ages since I did any knitting, I'm terrible for not finishing things, but the snood should be amall enough that I won't get bored with it.0 -

Afternoon everyone
Haven't posed for the last couple of days, but have read through the threads. Still got ds2 at home, his teaching assistant came for 45 mins this morning to do work with him. Then to dr's to have dressing changed on his leg, went better than last week, but he wouldn't let them peel the dressings off, he had to take his time and do them himself. Not sure when he will be allowed back to school I was hoping before half term but doesn't look promising.
HM carrot & lentil soup for lunch, dinner will be sausage casserole from a recipe on mse. wm done and all hung up. Have got 2 bin bags of stuff that needs taking to charity shop so will do that tomorrow.
MSD - Thing of Tris and Michelle, hope they are improving.
Thriftlady - Enjoyed your blog, could almost smell the marmalade.
JC2703 - thinking of you and your ds.
Ivyleaf - enjoy your trip to New Zealand.
Penpin - Thinkingof you all.
Lowesey - Sending ((Hugs)).
It looked like everyone on the meet had a great time. The photo was great.
Enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to anyone who needs or wants one. Take Care.

Good luck for your son.
There must be something in the air- DH gets a new car delivered tomorrow. He is giving back the company car at the end of the week and we are getting a "quirky, workhorse" of a car that is low road tax, very good mpg etc but is "not a looker!" It is a Peugot Bipper Tepee Outdoor diesel and only came out in October last year- is like "gold dust" to find and we managed to get a really good deal on a brand new one.
Took DD to the train station this morning and convinced DH that if he dropped me at the supermarket, I could manage to walk home. Had to promise not to buy heavy stuff and to phone him if I got tired or if the walk was too much.
Got Quorn pieces and quorn mince for £1each , bread, eggs and some cubed beef. Got home and chopped some veg etc and the beef stew is in the slow cooker for tonight.
Putting my feet up and browsing on here as I got more tired than I wanted to let on.
Gave DD (16) a late present as her boots had arrived by post. Her sister saw me upwrap them and gasped "You've got her Skechers! You're good! How did you know?"
Up till then I thought DD might turn her nose up at them but she really liked them and looked shocked when she saw the box. Decided to keep quiet about getting them in Amazon sale with free postage etc. I kept quiet about the Lacroix (sweetheart- shades of Ab Fab ) t shirt being on sale too.(£1).
Seem to have done nothing but spend but it was all needed (fripperies like house insurance etc:()
Hugs to everyone and see you later"This site is addictive!"

Hi all
Another quick visit. I haven't had chance to catch up properly, yet, so hope everyone is ok.
Fencing is out the way now, so sorting out the girls dinner before they go off to kick-boxing.
It may be that we change kick-boxing to a Wednesday, as today feels terribly busy, but we shall see what happens.
I have an annoying pain in my groin when I walk, which has been catching today  It's such a nuisance.
Will catch up properly later.
(((HUGS))) tothose who need them

Hellooooooooooooooo!
I have had a thoroughly lazy day today. An elderly aunt of OH sadly died last week and I have the night off to go to the church service, so have used today for a bit of RnR. The boys were home for lunch, I've made haggis pie in honour of Rabbie Burns, and sausage rolls for the boys for dinner. Will cut OH's hair soon, then get ready and go out.
JC I have been thinking about you and your DS today, I hope it went his way.
Must dash, hugs to all the poorlies and worried, especially Lowesy
Might come back later, have a good evening all!!

Afternoon All
Busy day today
Still feeling under the weather and OH now has it (of course his is worse)
JC - Thinking of you today, my OH is answering bail on the 12th of Feb
LW - NOrthumberland is a fab part of the world. I recommend Cragside. I used to go there with my Grandma and Grandad. Eyemouth is also beautiful and just up the coast, my Dad stems from there and his family still live there.
Going to see the Britains Got Talent auditions on Saturday, friend got the tickets for free, she also bought me tickets for Psycic Sally and said she was paying which was really nice of her.
Hope everyone is having a good day0 -
Afternoon all.
Hope everyone is well.
Went to slimming world this morning. Lost another 1/2lb so now only 6 and a half lbs to go to target!
Did a trip to asda & have kitted baby out for very little. The shopping is really cheap so I need to try & get there more often. I don't work now so have to make as many cuts as I can.
Have done lots of flying today. Also I don't have an ironing pile AT ALL! :j
Am hoping 2nd stage car seat is in the garage or we are going to have to buy one. I knew we had a seat in the loft. Turns out we had 2 3rd stage seats. Arrgghh.... The garage is in a right mess as DH needs to do a tip run.
Take care all (((hugs))) to those in need
