Hi Marjory,
Good for you for not giving up.
I'm the same and want to lose around 2 and a half stone too.
But just keep thinking...I will do it, okay it may take longer than before but it can be done.
2lb off is better than 2lb on overall.
You're next weigh in will hopefully show a loss if you have been 100% on it.
Keep at it.

Suggs it was really excellent and I really enjoyed myself , just a shame I was surrounded by so many idiots!!

Wow Jenpoptab,
I've just looked at your sig.... well done on 9.5lbs off in 4 weeks.... that's excellent. I've been following ww for 8 weeks now and have 9lb off. - Averaging out about 1lb per week which I'm happy with, but I need to do better. Hopefully once I get into the routine of being back at work I'll be able to manage my eating a bit better.
I was thinking of amending my July target to 4lb.. it seems more realistic than 8lbs since I lose an average of 1lb per week. Nahh, stuff it, I'll stick with the 8lbs target. What have I got to lose!..oh, yes! that JellybellyGoal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Here's this weeks chart, to avoid any confusion with the new thread.

Marjorie_Dawes wrote:Hello all, Thought I'd pop in and say hi as I've been reading the board for a few days now. I've been on the Slimming World (Body Optimise) plan for a few weeks with some mixed results and frankly this weeks weigh in was a disaster, although I cannot see why. I write everything down in the online diary, INCLUDING the bottle of wine I downed during the England match! The rest of the week I have been very good yet I put on 4lbs this week!So now my total weight loss over 4 weeks is 2lbs. I'm really very disappointed in this as I've been on SW (and WW) before and enjoyed success from the start, and am always disciplined. I've checked my food diary and cannot see where I'm going wrong - I had two great losses on my 2nd and 3rd week.I can't say I'm a particularly confident or positive person, but I will not give up and I intend to shift the 2.5 stone I want to lose. ....and now I've said it in public so I have to!
Don't be downhearted about the weight gain. If you're sure you're following the plan 100% you can't have put 4lbs of fat on. It will probably be that you're retaining a little extra fluid with the hot weather. I find that my ankles swell in this heat and it shows at weigh-in. Also, I expect you had a lot to drink (not alcoholic, lol) before your weigh-in which will influence the scales.
Stick with it - you CAN do itI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Hi Dellybelly - you can't go back on your commitment now you've gone public!
Goals should be stretching, so if we only aim to do what we know we can do anyway, where's the challenge? Why not promise yourself something special as a reward if you achieve it - or get OH to reward you in some way. It doesn't have to cost anything either, maybe he could look after the baby for a few hours to give you some 'me' time to pamper yourself or go out with your friends.
I'm giving you this advice and thinking to myself that I need to do something myself if I'm going to reach my target. We need to think about what we're going to do different to last month, and the usual things come to my mind - eat less, exercise more. But what specifically? - I've been talking about swimming, so this week I'm going to find out about the swimming sessions at my local pool and GO there - talking about it doesn't work!

Evening all - another busy day to catch up with 3 pages on WL6 and then WL7 has two pages ---- phew
Well done to Cathys1, Debra's Angel and jenpoptab on your loses :j
Nearlyrich - hope your weigh in goes ok tonight
Suewre - well done on your weight loss so far that is great and fingers crossed that they make your job permenant. As others have said this is a great thread and if you pop on here you will get lots of support and encouragement if you need it - although in saying that you are doing so well you should be giving us tips :T
Marjorie - welcome. I am sure SW will work for you there must just be something slightly out in your plan. As others have said chat to your consultant or if you are doing from home post your plan here and we will try and help. Consultant is a brilliant SW bod and she may be able to help too (edit - ah she already has whilst I was posting this). I am sure its something very simple that we can help with.
Fox2319 - well done on getting to your target range. Have you set yourself a definate goal as it could be because you are getting close to that your weight loss has slowed down. Thanks for the info on Nimble - I must admit I prefer white bread toasted so I will buy both now0 -
Oh dear the SW scales say 4lb on, my clothes say otherwise as do my own scales, I must get back into it this week, but it's my birthday on Monday so I will be eating out to celebrate...oops.
Any way on the positive side I have lost 15.5lb in total so it's not too bad and I am 2 dress sizes smaller than I was last Christmas.0 -

My theory is working.
NearlyRich, I put on 3lb last week (apparently) and by doing nothing different this week, I have lost the said 3lb. My jeans would've been too tight etc etc etc so don't be disheartened, you're doing brilliantly:T
Lois Lane - would you mind changing your link in post #13 to the new chart in this thread. A big thank you from meI haven't got one!0
