Hi Cheeky  nice to see you. Well done for maintaining all this time, how are you doing it - do you have a particular strategy?
I'm shocked at you being banned from Tesco's! I'm going to have to check out the other thread to find out more about it.
I'm not sure how many pages are acceptable for a thread, but as we're now on 102 it may be time for Losing Weight 8 - it hasn't taken us very long to fill this one up has it?!

p.s. any chance you could update the index on the recipes thread - pretty pleaseStart BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -

Hi cheekymole, good to see you again. Are you finding maintaining difficult?0
-
Hi Honey.
I think if I didn't go to class I would've put it all back on by now. My motivation is money and if I stay within my target limits, I don't have to pay!!
Some weeks I am tremendously naughty and it feels great but then the scales totter up and I can then be good for a while until I lose enough so that I can be naughty again!
On a weekly basis though I generally stick to the plan but I do tuck into things that I shouldn't have (occasional bottle of wine perhaps!)
Once at target I think if you go to class you will succeed

I've given my self 15 syns for the whole meal. Consultant are you going to break my heart now?! That yogurt was sooooooo good. . . . .
As if I wouldNo I think you did fine, and to be honest I think you perhaps over-estimated on the syns. Frozen fat-free yoghurt is one of the good guys, it works out at a measly ½syn for 100gms, so enjoy :j
Good to see you back Cheeky  and it's great to see you're maintaining your target, well done!
Good strategy Loopy, that one suits me too.
Thanks for sharing your strategies Lois and Eels, I found them fascinating and I'm sure others will too.
Moving forward and putting yesterday's hiccup firmly in the past is the essence of good weight control (always provided there aren't too many bad yesterdays of course, lol.)
Not sure if I'd dare try your 'cookathon' though Eels, I'd probably end up trying out far too much of it - well, you can't give it to the family until you're sure it's nice, can you??? :rotfl:
Alyssa Afraid I can't help on the cappucino & cheesecake/chocolate sauce front (lots is the best guess, lol) - perhaps it's best if you put it behind you (re Lois's strategy) and move forward to Day One!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Just back from weigh in and I lost 2lbs!! Quite happy with that as I'm nearly at my target of losing 1st 3.5lbs to get me under 10 st.
Have had quite a good week I suppose with the odd naughty thing thrown in,
Nice to see you back cheekymole!0 -

All fine in the land of Honey. We didnt move house, all fell through a week before so we have made the decision to stay and extend and improve what we already have. Weightwise its going ok. Definately taking the scenie route but I'm happy with that. Hit a complacent blip but am back on track, aiming to have lost a few more pounds by the end of the month when its my bday.
That reminds me, I have decided to go as Sandy from grease (fancy dress party). I need honest opinions (cant ask my friends cos we arent disclosing who we are going as until the night! You lot on here are my "other" friends!). Do you think Sandy in black 3/4 length trousers, black top and Pink Ladies Jacket (as in the Sandy at the end of the movie) or Sweet innocent sandy (just like me!) in 50's style skirt would look best. Bear in mind I am a size 12/14 and by no means slim! Blonde wig already bought. (No comments about thinking I was already blonde as OH has been making all day! )0 -
Honey, definitely the "fag in hand and hoops in ears" Sandy (I always wanted to be her - b***h)I haven't got one!0

Interesting snippet I've just heard on Radio 4. The programme was about designing areas for movement , to see how people, in this case children move round the school and enviroment generally, they GPS' tracked 200 kids 24/7 for a couple of weeks and worked out how many calories they were using, and how far they were walking.
The kids who walked to school ALSO moved about more, and used more calories, while in school.
I would have thought that kids who had to walk to school would be more tired and less inclined to run about in the playground but the exact opposite is the case.
So if your child is overweight the first thing to do is to stop driving them to school. They are then more likely to participate in more movement/energy consuming exercise while at school than if driven to school. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program
