  • I have to reach goal in order to maintain it.

As I have discovered a way of eating that is both healthy and able to fit into my busy routine as well as actually working I just wanted to share with others the eating plan that could lead to their weightloss success.

Maybe other readers will be as pleased with the opportunity to try a diet that actually works as I was.

Great that you have kept off whatever weight you lost... lets get there first and see if we can do the same.

    Hello!
I've not managed to catch up with the thread and it seems that I have caused a bit of a lentil soup craze! Sorry! Mine was yummy though - even OH ate some - I chucked in some turmeric, coriander and chilli powder and it seemed to work really well.

Anyway, I've been off work today and have just put a version of my mums Welsh stew/casserole thing into the oven for tea. She makes it with meat but I just leave out the meat and add a bit more stock (or even gravy granules!) to make it tasty. It has leeks (I am Welsh!!), onions, carrots, potatoes and swede in it and it gets really quite thick and is proper winter food. I usually have vegetable suet dumplings with it too - not strictly SW but nice.

Suggs - The Departed is about 2 and a half hours long but doesn't seem that long.

It's my weigh in tomorrow and I can't really tell how its going - I have been much better than the last two weeks but I guess the scales will tell all.

Anyway, off to turn oven down now,
    Take care

Rachel -sounds lovely, any chance of the recipe??
  • Can somebody please kick me hard as i've totally lost my motivation. I'm off to get weighed in a bit and have just scoffed a huge cheese sandwich & bar of chocolate  whats the matter with me !!!!!!!!!!!!
We had a lovely weeked in Blackpool (DD came 2nd in comp) & sis & i had taken losts of heathly stuff to eat ... our 1 treat fish and chips on the pier :p but i'd pointed it & planned it in.
Then we found an old fashioned sweetshop on the way back to the car  they had a whole wall of fudge pick and mix  £16.49 later we came out the shop :o
That was the beginning of the end i think ... i remembered how good all the bad stuff tastes and have been eating it since  am so cross with myself feel like i've undone all my hard work
So please can somebody find the boot as i don't want to stay fat forever.
    Lou.

I can only see two soup recipes though? Maybe i cant read proper like :p

Hi Suggs - the index on the recipes thread isn't up to date, so the newer recipes haven't been included. If you click on the last post in the thread and then work back you'll find some recipes posted by Consultant for vegetable soup, golden soup and leek and potato soup, and my vegetable soup recipe.

Hi Alyssa-mae - well done for losing 2.5lbs, you would have been slimmer of the week, but sadly your result was posted after the results, sorry :(

You never know, it could be enough to win next week.

Mmm, good question. I was having a very bad day - DS (8) is playing up at the minute, well a lot actually. He is very insecure at the minute and we dont know why. He insists its nothing at school and I hope its just a phase but its a long ride through it. My aunt, who was babysitting at the weekend had to ring us to come home when he totally freaked out - unfortunately there was no signal on my phone and she had to get my parents round to calm him down. She looks after them all the time and they love her coming round so we dont know why he wanted us home so much. DD couldnt care less and actually told her to go home and leave them as a dare (she is 4  ). The same thing happened yesterday when I was taking him to an afterschool thing he goes to - I leave him off then head onto SW. He freaked and as I seem to be emotional all the time at the minute (not I'm not pregnant!) I ended up in tears too. So, to cut a long (sorry) story short I didnt go to weigh in. Think I maintained (according to home scales). Bit cheesed off but entirely my own fault.

Well done to you Lois - SW must be better for you. I really want to lose some more before my birthday. When I joined SW in January that was my goal. Had a bit of a blip earlier when I discoverd yogurt covered raisins and ate them all, then realised the syn value. However, am focussed so back on course. Have just prepared lunch for work tomorrow to stop me nibbling on rubbish in work.

Hi Honey - (((hugs))) sorry to hear you're having problems with your son. It could be something to do with your recent plans to move house, although as you've now decided to stay put, you'd expect him to be pleased, as children aren't that keen on change! It won't help to hear it, but it's probably just a phase and will pass given time.
Well done to you Lois - SW must be better for you.

Thanks, I'm much happier doing SW again, and having a good result in the first week has really given me the determination to continue with it.
