    Awwww guys... what's going on?

Tallgirl: I'm sure you know that every woman there will be self concious in the swim costumes as it's pretty much the nature of women. Make sure you get yourself into the water as soon as you can! Also don't go by any mirrors if you think your reflection will be upsetting. Despite looking like a beached whale :D in my swim costume, it never really makes me self concious until i see my reflection!! Enjoy it - it sounds like good fun (and remember you are doing something about the weight - it just takes time :)

Loopyloo: Hope you're ok hun. Maybe try having something that's a bit of a treat but not too bad (like a low cal ice lolly or an options hot choccy!). Can't imagine how you feel.

Stressedmom: Welcome to the thread!! As you've said don't think about losing weight as something you're doing for your doc - do it for yourself. With a high bmi like that you're at risk of all sorts medical issues (so am I by the way - it's not nice :( i know) like diabetes. It won't be easy but we're here to help when you need it. Went I went to slimming world classes they used to arrange it so that shift workers could attend once a fortnight or similar to fit in with work. You could ring your local group and ask if they'll let you do something similar. You can take the kids with you when you (though I know that's not always easy). Once you've learnt the diet then maybe you could stop going to class if you really can't fit it into your schedule. As Lois said, don't go crazy on your hols - you'll only have to lose it afterwards, but totally go ahead and enjoy yourself!!!

Lisele: well done fo being so determined still! don't let the bad patch kill it for you.

I hate the first day of my period. It makes me want to eat everything even though i know it won't help with the cramps and stuff. i'm going to have a huge free brekky to kill the choccy cravings!

Sorry for the babble. Sorry if i'm telling grandma to suck eggs in some of my posts. Sorry that we've lost katyk too.
  • Thanks guys :)
So much good advice ... as usual.
I feel loads better today & i didn't have any muffins ... i made a huge pan of prawn curry (only 3.5 points) and had that instead. Much better for me & it was so spicy i couldn't have eaten anything else after it cos my mouth was on fire
Stressoutmum ... you are right, i would have felt awful having had the muffins & just gone in search of more junk to make me feel "better".
Eels100 ... also right! i had another chat with OH & got everything else off my chest ... felt much better after that & he was much more understanding about how i felt.
Katyk ... brill idea :D he did tell me i could slap him (after i told him he would deserve it if i did) if it would make me feel better ?? well it probably would but i opted for a hug instead ... that seemed to do the trick :o
Honey, madauri, lois, jen ... thanks for your support :)
    Hope i didn't miss anyone.
    Lou.

Sorry I didnt get a chance to post properly last night. Friends of OH had called in and I only got a chance to pop on quickly.

Loopy - I admire you for the way you dealt with things. You will be anxious going out with OH to your sisters again so I would suggest you all get together soon to avoid any bad atmospheres - she probably is worried about meeting up again too incase you blame her. Well doing on avoiding the muffins - prawn curry sounds lush :p

welcome to stressedoutmum - sorry I missed you last night. Try not to look at the total amount you have to lose. Break it down eg tell yourself you need to lose 7lb by..... and take it in smaller intervals. You can do it - there is plenty of support on here so come on when you need it.

Madauri - well done on that pound loss, sounds like the planning helped.

Katyk - Dont give up now. How will you feel in a months time when you weigh heavier again, and the next month, and the next? We all going through dips (me included, see my posts!) bit you CAN come through it. Take a few days to think about it - you will be even unhappier if you look at yourself in a months time - probably still unhappy in work and annoyed with yourself for putting on weight too. Come on girl, Chin up, we can help you!

Lois and Jenitells - Wise words as always guys.

Off to have my scrambled eggs for brekkie - then going back to bed. Kids happy watching dvd, OH at work and a new book awaits my undivided attention - thats what Sundays are for aren't they :rotfl:

    Have a good days chaps

OK folks - count me back in. :o

My weight this morning is 15 stone 7.5 lb:sad: which is 2.5 lb heavier that when I first joined the 2lb club back in May so I am hardly feeling too good about it but you are right, Honey, as usual - I will only gain more and more.

When I think how massive I felt the day I went in to give birth to my son, weighing 14st 3lb.....:rotfl:
Now not pregnant at all and more than a stone heavier.

I will try to give myself a good talking to and shake off these blues. Avoidance of alcohol will also be a good start as I have been relying much too much on it lately and that does not help at all - weightwise or otherwise.

    Thanks for the support folks.:j

Ditto - and keep your chins up... :)

Laughed out loud at this one after I got over the surprise at Lois's 'insult', when I realised the chins belonged to two people, not just one :rotfl:

Welcome to stressedoutmum. Lois has given you some excellent advice in her post, with regard to not going mad on your hols. It is possible to have a fab holiday and not gain weight, you would also feel brillliant when you got home as well, instead of having a huge weight gain which takes the 'bloom' off the holiday.

Katyk Honey's right. Don't give up now, you'll kick yourself in a couple of months time when you've got even more to lose. If you really can't face trying to lose, at least try to maintain. You're having a really bad time at the mo, but it will pass and then you can get back to thinking about slimming.

Madauri Well done on your weight loss. Planning is the key to losing weight relatively easily - trying new recipes and adapting old ones will keep it interesting.

(((Loopylou))) - men, they're so stupid sometimes. Why do we bother?
I'm so glad you managed to avoid the muffins :T

Having a bit of a busy weekend, helping my daughter clear out her garage so she can actually get the car in. What a job, it's choc-a-bloc with old furniture and toys. Feel a car boot sale coming on ;)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    :T :j :T:j :T:j :T :j :T Yay to Katky!!

Katy - dont put yourself under pressure and dont think about what you weighed when you came on here at the start. Think about what you might have weighed had you not stayed with us. Take it slowly, get through the difficult time at work - have you any leave booked or can you take a few days off? I know it won't make the problem go away but it will give you a few days away from it all. I agree with consultant about concentrating on trying to maintain until you feel a bit more focussed. At the end of the day work will always be there but we wont. Pm me any time if you need to chat.

Consultant - when you have finished at your daughters garage would you come and do mine please? Car in garage - we couldnt even fit a toy car in

    Hi Honey

No I am afraid I cannot take any time off as I have just used it all covering school holidays. As it is we will just have to let workmen in to sort out the wet rot etc without our being there which I prefer not to do but neither of us can afford to take any more time off before October. Last week was very busy at work as supervisor was on hols (at least it was quieter..) but whether she will come back chilled out after her week off or even more stressed due to her full intray and fact that the boss has effectively had me, her junior, checking through parts of her work whilst she was off(!) remains to be seen. I have made it clear to both parties that I am fed up being stuck in the middle and both say sorry, then just go straight back to trying to make me see their point of view. Trouble is I CAN see both points of view and there has been fault on both sides but most of what was going wrong has happened way before I even started there.
Usually quite good at seeing the funny side of things but this is just starting to get me down.

I had scrambled egg this morning too!! with beans, George Forman cooked sausages and bacon, and mushrooms. So did my children, all very nice. I really intend to get in the gym tonight, trouble is I have a return trip to drop the children off, approx 110 mile round trip.

TallGirl - Its not just the female of the species that are body concious, I am and I know a few males that are also. Just be happy and enjoy the moment.

Loopyloo - I really must try the prawn curry following your recommendation, sounds good to me.

Katyk - If Im not allowed to give up, how can I stand by and let others give up, I realise I am not following the WW method or the SW method. I just feel that I should go to the gym (increase exercise) and control what and when I eat (decrease calories) If had been working well until recently  I have a 1-2-1 tomorrow after been with this company 3 months, hopefully it wont be too bad.

Consultant31 - I could say we are so stupid so you can understand us! but I feel it doesn't help matters. But I also have a full garage if you want to help, I am planning on clearing my study next weekend and turn it into a proper 'Home Office'

Lois Lane, Honey28, Jenittels Thank you for words and telling me to take Lady Suggs on Holiday again, She will be coming in October to Mallorca, with her two children, so thats 5 children in total. Trying to find a couple of two bedroom apartments at the moment. Stayed in PalmaNova at easter with a nice 2 bedroom apartment. But not sure if I should go again.

Got to go the Children are trying to clean my car!

    Have a good Sunday Folks!!

Oops, sorry Suggs, forgot you were a man :o Mind you, on reading your reply, I think I take the apology back :rotfl:

Honey I'll be round in about an hour to sort out your garage, then on to Suggs before bed-time - I'm on a roll :rotfl:
Fret not, I think the syn count you found for your drumsticks must have been with skin, cos the chicken itself is free :T
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
