Woke up this morning aching but not as bad as I have been so i have blitzed the bathroom, only to be told that DH is going in the shower in a bit - after I have scrubbed and shined taps, shower glass and tiles grrrr  so needless to say I have left the mopping of the floor until later as it's like a swimming pool when him and DSS have been in their so I will do this tonight.

Not swept and mopped the kitchen yet, I will do this tonight, when we have all been out and done stuff, and then do the window sill and tiles tomorrow when i have more time and hopefully less pain.

I can't manage with getting the hoover upstairs with the back as it is atm so I will have to miss out on doing this probably for this week as I can't afford to cause myself more injury :o

    Have a good afternoon

I've been thinking....dangerous I know....but I seriously reckon that we do not use ever at least 60% of stuff in our house and garages.

Not good really, roll on car boot season.
But in the meantime... get ebaying :D

Great news on the car - sensible decision and I'm sure other things will start to fall into place.

Myself and OH are enjoying our new recycling bins, the girls are on autopilot re the kitchen bin but we keep reminding them to seperate. I particularly like the food waste bags, I've only filled 2 since tuesday, thats all plate scrapings, scraps, tea bags etc. Its really good to see what is being wasted. The plastics/tins bin is almost full, all pretty much food packaging although the milk jug plastic things take up lots of room, well they did until OH started crushing them.
Glad you're enjoying your recycling. We don't have food waste recycling here, which I'd really like, but I'm hoping when the garden is sorted to have a food digester out there which will help. And I need to go to the tip to take the tetrapak recycling...

Friend who came to stay has gone now - we ate too much, drank too much and talked till 2am... we were going to go for a walk today, but she's not feeling well  so has gone home. I'm not overly surprised - lots of people say they want to go for a walk and then when it's a reality change their minds! Pity, as it's a lovely day.

Builder rang, and is going to be here at 7am  on the 8th. So I have a week to get the utility room emptied. I'll have to clear the spare room too, as the builder will be staying in there. I just need to decide whether to clear the study so that his son can stay on the airbed in there or let him stay on the sofabed (in which case, given that he's a teenager, the sitting room will probably be out of action all week... so probably best to pack up the study. I'm not sure where all the stuff is going to go though...

So plan for today is to go to the farm shop and then I need to get some kind of exercise, get a LOT of flying done plus a certain amount of work as I seem to be getting behind... looks like a busy weekend then.

Hope you all have a productive weekend and those of you with nice weather have a chance to get out and enjoy it.

Thanks for noticing, like Toots said I had a ski lesson and the lift was a rope pull - I feel like I've been in 15 tug of wars with the world's strongest man and lost each time:rotfl: Hoping the instructor lets us on the next slope with the button life this week. Sorry Lilly has still not come home:(

I saw masses of different species of birds. Might have to do it again tomorrow to check the results ;)

Just going to tidy up from lunch and then off with DH and DS3 to collect the sink and tiles for the shower room. DH unpacked the bamboo flooring this morning and it is beautiful :D

Hi courgette Glad to hear you are feeling better now.

valli We had a castle to build once, I remember how tricky it was.

triker A Nissan Micra is a brilliant idea. For some reason I got a Ford Focus automatic and it is heavy on fuel, or it could be because I just do short journeys.

I have also WM x 2, TD x 2, DW x 1, washed up, ate HM soup with lashings of cream and grated cheese - it was scrumptious
