Whilst I was in school on Tuesday, I talked to our inschool union rep about my resignation and the date I'd be able to go. Basically as a teacher, we're meant to give notice by 28th February to leave 30th April, but that would mean me teaching for the first 2 weeks of the summer term, which obviously I'd prefer not to do. Apparently I should put that I'd like to leave on 16th April, but know that I'm officially contracted until 30th April, and just hope that they release me early. I don't care about not being paid for the last 2 weeks of the month, as I'd rather just get out of there and start doing supply as early as possible. Fingers crossed that they let me go then as I'll still be paid for the easter holidays, where no doubt I'll have to come in and hand over to the new teacher etc.

IF they make you leave before the Easter holidays (to save money;)) make sure you have a holday booked so you're AWAY over Easter and therefore not able to hand over over the holidays ;););)

Bright and sunny (but cold) again in Valliland - washing on line :D:D

Played 'Beat the Postie' this morning
    score Postie 1 Valli 0

5 FIVE people in the house and NO-BODY heard the postie knock - and I was in my bedroom with the window open at the front above the front door *insert  smiley*...clatter of letter box and card through. That'll be DD's birthday card from WIL who is stressing about it because she put a tenner in it and it hasn't been delivered. There's £1.08 to pay SO as KH is coming to pick DS up shortly he is going to the sorting office to pick it up...
oops *slaps wrist* am fairly certain I 'forgot' to mention the £1.08 he'll need to pay:rotfl:;)

  • Morning all

Hope everyone is well this morning

Having a very slow morning due to being in hangover hell . . . too much of this  and not enough sleep!

Woke up with half my face of make up on my pillow  because I changed the bedding yesterday as per list and  because it's new bedding, first time on the bed! - I can't find the eye make up removed so I've slug the offending item in to soak.

My brother (the babysitter) has managed to use every pot/pan/plate/cup in the house and the kitch looks like a bomb has hit it, he also rearranged all the cushions/trows/blankets in the living room and left all DD's toys all over

Had a good nihgt out though :D

The list for today look somthing like this -
Put new pillow cases on bed and sort dirty one out
    Wash mountain of pots
    S&S Kitchen
    Vac Kitchen & Dining room
    Tidy living room
    HHI

Sure there is more but that's all my brain will allow me to think of!
Crazy unorganised mum in need of help!

Dusty thanks for the reminder about the birds xx
tooch I missed the photo but I am sure as everyone else says that she is beautiful and she is doing really well with her list/attitude so thats a great step forward - i will give her a big star later today.
BenW hope you find your Mum is a lot better.
pigpen well done for not raising your voice - rise above it - you are not with her just her son:D and more ebaying needed for the WM!!!!
ceebeeby Oi!!!! get that census done !!! pronto!!!!! and that goes for you too Penelope Penguin (just because you have super powers doesnt mean i cant nag you:rotfl:)

nopot2pin what are you like - trying to take the lid off with a knife (rolls eyes!!) hope its not too sore today - be careful what you do and not hurt it (((hugs)))
sexy good to have you back online pet - and that you are beginning to feel human again xx well done for sorting out your finishing date - get the letter done and submitted so they have no excuses for getting a replacement.
Triker i totally agree - we all have 'stuff' that we dont use/need - i have been slowly getting rid of things that i waas keeping 'because so in so gave me it or I might use it ' - I know my circumstances for getting rid of stuff is different but if we all had a good clear out and were totally truthful with why we have things I am sure we would feel a lot better about our houses and ourselves - I hope you manage to get rid of your extras!! xx
Hi Rach yes its amazing what I can do if I dont come online!
hex anygood to a scrap dealer? just explain to Dh that although it is a great idea he needs to be realistic and the likelyhood of him having time to explain the workings of these items is unlikely and probably at some time in the future there will be other items available for experimenting on! NAG NAG NAG!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl: or failing appealing to his better nature then resort to feminine tactics;)

oh serena that made me laugh!!! well done to you for getting them organised - it will be good for the DS's when they are married or living on their own:T glad you are feeling a bit better - enjoy the day out - and not too heavy with that right foot!!!!!:p
I love the smilies too and I try to put on appropriate ones - I do hope i have never offended anyone with them - its a piece of nonsense that someone could feel offended by a silly little cartoon face IMHO!
holly that would be brilliant if you could get the job - maybe because it would be so perfect it will help you stay calm - we will all be with you xx
Sarah you need to get that brother trained!!!!:rotfl:

right better get going and do something

      Happy Birthday to Master W:bdaycake:

-oh one of DD's friends who's staying is the 'protected' girl - pick up was going to be 2 - but I said I might have to pop out, were they OK with that - well they were last night. Had a phone call this morning - they are picking her up at 11:30 now.
