I've been thinking....dangerous I know....but I seriously reckon that we do not use ever at least 60% of stuff in our house and garages.
That includes various rusting motorbikes and engines that we pay rental on garages to 'keep'....madness I know.
Books and millions of bike mags that don't ever get read.
Ornaments stashed in boxes and drawers.
Whatever is in the loft apart from the christmas stuff.
Pictures that are stacked up in various areas of the house because there is no where to hang them.
Half the bedding because I don't like the feel of it.
Around 85% of my clothes because they don't fit or I just never wear them.
Don't get me started on make-up, jewellry and all that stuff.
Not good really, roll on car boot season.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Hello all...I'm alive!
Haven't had time to get on all week, have to say spending less time online at home is doing me good though! Haven't really been on facebook either.
Went to bed about 10pm last night and have only been up about half an hour. In that time I've cleared some dead stuff out of the fridge, renewed my library books and phoned the national blood service. Also need to report a lovefilm disc as damaged but i can't work out how to do it so will have to wait til dh gets up.
I'm annoyed as (we live above a shop), the woman who has started working there Sat mornings (other woman is on maternity leave) is really noisy. She doesn't seem capable of speaking at a normal volume, only shouting, and is banging around too. Grrrr. This started before 9am and it's really our only lie in day. Oh well, not sure there's much we can do about it.
DH has been off work for a couple of days and has done some flying, but we need to do more today. We also need to go to his parents and do more washing as our washer is broken AGAIN. Waiting to hear if they're gonna repair or replace it.
I have no idea how people are or what's going on but love and hugs to all.

I quite agree. If only I could convince my DH!
We are on battle of wills about going to the tip with the dead TD, dead DW, dead Amp, dead fryer, dead food processor, etc. He thinks he is keeping them to he can explain to DS1 how they work *roll eyes* but they have been on the patio for up to a year. Operation Nag coming on I think. I can't take them to the tip (need a licence for my car, can't have a licence cos the car is registered in his name), cant find anyone who will collect without charging me £30.
I have dragged the washing mountain downstairs and am ploddding my way through the backlog.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
I've nearly stopped sneezing... I gave up on flying yesterday as I felt so unwell, and spent the rest of the day curled up on the sofa with a Jodi Picoult my sister gave me for Christmas, and an industrial sized box of tissues. DS1 cooked dinner, and OH and DS2 washed up.
They're really responding nicely to training...;)
I love smileys. I can't use the lovely ones that ffp, jinky and toots find (just three names I can remember, I know there are more!) because they won't work with Firefox for some reason, and I'm usually too idle to switch to explorer.
Off for a girly day's shopping at Lakeside with DD and one of her friends today.
Triker - I have a Micra. It's my second. My first was a very pretty metallic blue that we bought at an auction. The first time OH didn't bid enough to make the reserve, and I was so disappointed, I asked him what they did with cars that don't make the reserve, and we found out they put them in again, so we bid a little more and won it. It drove beautifully, and I kept it until it pretty much fell apart. I have a red one now, W reg, which apparently is one built in the UK rather than Japan, and it doesn't drive as well. Still very economical and we've also found them reliable. One fault I have found is that the windows tends to fall off the runners, and then won't go up and down properly. I am blaming this on the teens who slam the door with the window open, so suggest that you always make sure they are wound up tight before you close the door!! Because they are quite light and nippy, I'm always speeding around town as well....:o;)It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Morning all,
I haven't caught up with the thread so i hope everyone's ok.
My internet was playing up yesterday so i couldn't get back on. I have been sent a new ( to me ) laptop with a battery that works and am now connected wirelessly.:jI need to go shoe shopping today Ds1 needs school shoes and Ds2 needs trainers, i'm guessing it's going to be an expensive day. I should probably go food shopping too.
Ooo i almost forgot i've got an interview on Friday for the school across the road, the one Ds2 will be going to in September. This would be perfect in so many ways, i just need to get over my nerves because in interviews i get so nervous my mind goes blank and i turn into a gibbering idiot.:o

Morning lovelies!
nopot ouch!
It snowed overnight so I was greeted with about 7" of snow this morning urgh! car broke down in Asda car park last night OH had to come and rescue us so I cancelled my first job this morning, debating cancelling the second, I'd have to dig the car out, fix the connector on the battery and then drive in it, I simply can't be assed *sigh* there's nowt spoiling as they will both get done next week instead.
Lily still hasn't returned, I dreamt she'd come back last night and was most disappointed to find it was only a dream, AF must be lurking cos it's got me proper upset, not sure when to phone pet insurance place about her being missing/cancel it?? says nothing in the bumph *rolls eyes*
Kids slept out last night and not due back till tea-time so got the place to myself, just dailies need doing today.0
