Just wanted to say Benwmum My Dad has always said he wants his ashes scattered at Muker. Is there a bridge somewhere up a very steep hill??? He and Mum are big walkers and it's one of their fave places.
If you walk through the meadows behind Muker, turn right and go over the Rampsholme Bridge, then follow the track to the right, at the top turn left and follow that track up (and I mean up), you eventually come to a gorge high above Muker. You can cross the gorge to continue along the path and after going through an old mine working, you come down again near to Crackpot Hall (old ruin). However, the gorge sounds like the ideal place.
For those who are laughing about Crackpot Hall and thinking it might make a good home for many of us on here, the name is derived from two old local words 'crack' meaning 'crows' and 'pot' being a hole in the cliff or ground. Behimnd the hall is an old quarry where the crows like to gather, bit like in Hitchcocks 'The Birds'.
Sorry, this has nothing to do with flyingunless you count the reference to crows!

Decluttered a bacon butty and another coffee aka lifeforce...:D.
Scrubbed my pine dining room table which has bluddy gorge marks in it....I think from DD1 who does stuff like this when on the phone, digs pens and cutlery in so to speak at 17 you'd think she'd know better **cue rolls eyes smiley**
Anyway I'll get some plastic cover for it today as they are much easier to clean.
Myself and OH are enjoying our new recycling bins, the girls are on autopilot re the kitchen bin but we keep reminding them to seperate. I particularly like the food waste bags, I've only filled 2 since tuesday, thats all plate scrapings, scraps, tea bags etc. Its really good to see what is being wasted. The plastics/tins bin is almost full, all pretty much food packaging although the milk jug plastic things take up lots of room, well they did until OH started crushing them.
Anyway, posted advert for free to a good home re my bantam silkie cockerel, he really needs to go asap so if anyone wants him let me know, I'm in Hull so you'd need to be fairly close ish but I'll deliver him if necessary to surrounding areas.
Going to go out in Millicent Maude the Micra later....she is so easy to drive and I'm glad I made the decision to be frugal and sensible as it means I can spend my savings on other 'essentials'. I may just treat her to some smelly's and I have a boot tidy thing somewhere that is unopened and never used so I'll dig that out in a mo.
OH doing DW and I'm off to get dressed and get going.
Back later. xxx
