They must have been shouting
Bak. Derk-derk-Allah. Derka derka, Mohammed Jihad. Haka sherpa-sherpa. Abaka-la.
(If you think I'm being offensive copy it into google).
Team America very good.
HOTHOTHOT come on, do you think about what new thread you can start today whilst trying to sleep at night.
What others would do in this made up situation is irrelevant as no one can really comment as no one was really there (you included). Anyone in a similar situation would use something called common sense (google it if you don't know what it means) and would way up the risks to themselves and those supposedly in need of help before acting on it.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
im not that good with cars, but I do have a jump start kit, an emergency thing with a battery inside it.....that has helped me quite a few times, I would have let them use that. I know that people push their cars and then start it going, is that called a bump start?0

The incident is genuine, and I posted here partly to relieve my conscience for not stopping, im glad that most have said they think it was the right thing to do.
You also have a snow shovel, a thermos flask, snow chains, 4 spare tyres, bottle jack, trolley jack, full rack of tools, tow rope, car trailer, blanket, clothes for a week, food, gas cooker, kitchen sink, champagne, foot spa and a cuddly toy in your boot aswell no doubt.!!!!Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

huh?
Im glad to see I have a fan club, thanks for joining.
You cant have much of a life stalking people through their threads, making personal attacks........:D
I've got a decent life, thanks.....no "Walter Mitty" characteristics like yourself!!
I'm not stalking your posts; i suppose the mildly annoying thing is that people who havent read your other threads, and, as is the norm on this forum, are really keen to help, will end up wasting time and effort responding.
Which is a shame.
And by the way; your subtle racism aint as subtle as you think it is.
Have a real nice day now!!0 -

and with your "great life" you took it upon yourself to alert everyone what a bad person I am for making a thread asking peoples thoughts on being a good samaritan - that has somehow troubled you.....you might regard your life as decent, I see you more as a dullard who imposes themselves where they arent needed or wanted, I bet in your spare time you stand in the street picking up trash in the community hoping someone will say hello to you, your first interaction for the day besides feeding your numerous cats.0 -

Have you been spying on me again? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Quite right. Those OAPs could have been tooled up.
You might be surprised. I do wade in and confront situations, and the only time it's ever nearly gotten nasty is when I ran rings (verbally) around a 63 year old woman who became so frustrated, she tried to punch me in the face.
Would I stop? Depends entirely on how far they were from alternative help.
Oh, and the OH really does have:
Jump leads
two spare tyres
a folding snow shovel
a cheap sleeping bag
snow chains
spare hoses
a full tool kit
Trolley jack...
Some of it was from when I had no choice but to drive out in an horriffic snow storm a few weeks back, granted. But you should see the spares he takes on holiday...Only dead fish go with the flow...0 -
It's an annoying habit you've got there Cool Username. Every time I read something from you I think you're quoting someone.0
