Yeah it's pretty common all over the world for a woman on her own to get used as a honey-trap to get people to stop.

So what? Even if you're right, I don't care, it gives us something different to chat about.

Yes I would stop & help,
but in this scenario the BUMP start should have got the car working, so your offer of help with a JUMP start would likely have had no effect.

im not that good with cars, but I do have a jump start kit, an emergency thing with a battery inside it.....that has helped me quite a few times, I would have let them use that. I know that people push their cars and then start it going, is that called a bump start?

The incident is genuine, and I posted here partly to relieve my conscience for not stopping, im glad that most have said they think it was the right thing to do.
