Just checked the Tesco Easy Cook Brown Rice on 2 different email addys and £1.12 on one and £1.24 on the other

This seems a bit silly though or are they relying on the fact no one knows the prices in store or are they just relying on people not noticing?

What is the cost of this item in the shop, does anyone know?

Which price on which account? Was the higher price on the new account or your old one?

I've just checked again and in my account it is £1.24, but when I checked mysupermarket it was £1.12.

I've had both accounts for a long time but i've only used the cheaper priced one on Tesco direct not ordered groceries on it.
  • I don't think I have the new site yet but it will be very interesting when I do. I have two different Tesco's accounts set up on my computer in two different names and two different email addresses.

One is my Mum who has a shop about every 3 months and the other is mine and I have a shop every week. It comes from the same depot just delivered to different addresses. I pick my Mum's shopping because she doesn't have a computer and it is easier to have two seperate accounts.

I have already noticed that my Mums account gets different points offers to me so it will be interesting to see if she gets different prices too. We have a lot of the same products so it will be easy to see if they do offer different prices to the two acounts.

In my case nobody would know the price because it all comes from a central warehouse not a store.

I was more thinking that say whereas I shop in store all the times (not Tesco though) and I usually know all the prices and can see at a glance if they've gone up in price from week to week, but if someone shops online and the prices vary they can only compare to their last online shop so they wouldn't know any different unless they shop in store some of the time?

But then it all seems a bit silly as already said places like this where people discuss prices would give it away anyway or places like Mysupermarket. I can't really think a supermarket would get away with this.

well tbh this sounds bad i think you do need to tell tesco even send them what youv said to us and see what they have to say
  • I see what you mean. I can't see how it wouldn't be noticed either, with sites like this about. I would notice it quite easily because quite often I will pick my shop and then straight after pick my Mum's. Often I am picking the same products for her as I have just picked for myself.

I will report back when I have the new site and do a shop for both of us!

Funnily enough I can remember the prices far more easily now I do it online than I could when I shopped in store. I think it is because it is there in black and white in front of me and somehow it registers more.
