Yesterday I made pinwheel pizzas for tea for my older DS' playdates.
Today I have made breakfast bars as sometimes DS3 and DD2 have to eat their breakfast in the buggy on the school run
I doubt they'll last long though as they seem popular snack for those just in from school/work!

Made a carrot cake as a tray bake this morning, just cut up and put away in a tin. Also just made a couple of large cornish pasties for a quick lunch at the weekend. Going to make a lasagne later on for dinner tonight.

Silly me I made a carrot cake from a different recipe, its just come out of the oven, but I forgot I usually bake in a tray and followed the recipe and cooked it in a loaf tin... now the thing has risen in the middle quite a lot and I was going to put some cream cheese icing on the top before slicing and freezing it (so I can't eat the whole thing in one day lol) but how am I sposed to ice it when its got a big hump in the middle? Any suggestions?
Oh and I made some spag bol for my dinner tonight , OH hates pasta so he's getting egg and chips.. good job its his favourite#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

i have just put 4 rhubarb (or rhubarb and chilli ??) crumbles in the oven...some for me...some for elderly neighbours....
got a beef and bean chilli in the slow cooker...
also did a batch of sweet chilli sauce, (mixed up in the processor which is why the crumble may well be slightly chilli flavoured!!<eek>)0 -

Do you have a recipe for the breakfast bars that you could share? I want to bake some pre-gym snack foods and these sound ideal

Slice the top off with a sharp knife. Just hold the knife horizontally and slice the top off carefully, then eat the topSilly me I made a carrot cake from a different recipe, its just come out of the oven, but I forgot I usually bake in a tray and followed the recipe and cooked it in a loaf tin... now the thing has risen in the middle quite a lot and I was going to put some cream cheese icing on the top before slicing and freezing it (so I can't eat the whole thing in one day lol) but how am I sposed to ice it when its got a big hump in the middle?
