Today have been on a mission. Have a sweet potato, lentil and bacon soup in slow cooker, cheese and bacon quiche cooked, 15 jam tarts done. Have also prepared veggies for tea tonight and loaded up the other pressure cooker for tomorrow.

Thanks for the Ginger Cake recipe, have saved it for another day. I will use the stem ginger in syrup as I bought some recently.

Bought a bag of Granny Smiths in L*dl last week but OH doesn't like them so added some brambles from the freezer and made a huge crumble just about to put it in the oven now.

apricot flapjacks, Twinks hobnobs and a kind of swiss roll stuffed bread dough then sliced. Someone on the boards made it the other day and posted a photo, I was so inspired I tried my own version today, I've tried looking for that thread but it's got lost amongst all the others I think! If the person who posted is reading this...thanks So much, the bread was fantastic!

Edited to add: My DD made some carrot cake fairy cakes from her ready steady cook book which turned out fab too

Today I've baked a beautiful Savoury Loaf from a recipe I found on Recipezaar - they are doing a feature on bread this month, and made me very happy with over 1000 bread machine recipes :T

Just waiting for my first try at homemade pizza to ping...:)
