I am an old MSE reader but quite new to OS......only found it last week
I am reading the budgeting threads and started doing some home baking to ease myself in gently!
Yesterday baked a quick loaf in the bread maker - very nice and the 1st time I have used the quick programme and also made some white choc chunk cookies.
The cookies were wolfed down so quickly I baked a double batch today - did white choc chunks, mik chop drops, raisin, apricot and black cherry........have to say they are very scrummy but if they get eaten as quickly as yesterday, I don't suppose I will be saving too much money! :rotfl:
Better read some more budgeting threads I think0 -

Yesterday I made a loaf of wheaten bread (or Irish brown soda if you like), a milk loaf and a batch of oat crunchies, which are my mother in law's old recipe for oaty biscuits that she's passed on to me and which are almost identical to Twink's hobnobs! They just use about 25% less sugar.0

A batch of Twinks with DS to try to keep him out of mischief;)0
